Pet care experience

**8 Years of Care • 70+ 5★ Reviews*

I’ve spent the past eight years caring for dogs in my home and have earned more than 70 five-star Rover reviews without a rating below five stars. Over that time, I’ve cared for dogs with different personalities, routines, activity levels, ages, and household needs. Animals have also been part of my own household throughout those years. Our family started with two Yorkshire Terriers, Barkley and Eva, and today their son Mutombo is our resident elder. We also share our home with our cat, Tiger. Living with animals every day has reinforced something I take seriously when caring for someone else’s pet: consistency matters. When your dog stays with me, I want their routine to feel as familiar and predictable as possible. I pay attention to feeding instructions, bathroom habits, activity, rest, temperament, and how each dog adjusts to the environment. I also intentionally look for changes in appetite, energy, mood, sleep, or behavior that might be worth bringing to your attention. I provide home-based boarding and daycare rather than trying to operate like a high-volume kennel. Compatibility matters, especially when multiple dogs are present, so I prefer to get to know each dog before making them part of a regular daycare or boarding group. My goal is simple: provide the kind of attentive, dependable care I would want for my own pets while giving owners confidence that their dog is being noticed—not simply housed. I'll be sure to provide photo updates so you can see how your dog is settling in while you're away.

I appreciated being able to do a meet and greet with Greg before booking. He has a very calm and pleasant demeanor, and I knew Bear would be in good hands. It was also nice to receive a recap and some videos at the end of his stay. We will use Greg again!

Greg was incredibly professional and friendly during our conversations. I had special diet needs for my pups and he was very accommodating without issue. I would definitely use Greg for any pet sitting needs again and recommend him to anyone else.

Schedule

My availability is planned around the dogs I accept rather than simply filling every open date. I provide home-based boarding and daycare and try to keep each day's group manageable and compatible. For daycare, I prefer consistent drop-off and pickup windows so the middle of the day can follow a predictable rhythm of outdoor breaks, activity, enrichment, supervision, and rest. For boarding, I do my best to maintain each dog's normal feeding, bathroom, sleeping, and activity routine whenever practical. If you send me a request, please include your expected drop-off and pickup times so I can confirm that the schedule works well for everyone.

Safety, trust & environment

I've spent eight years caring for dogs in my home and have earned more than 70 five-star Rover reviews without a rating below five stars. Over that time, I've learned that good care starts with understanding the individual dog rather than assuming every dog will behave the same way in a new environment. Compatibility is important in my home. I pay attention to temperament, interactions with other dogs, comfort around household members, resource guarding, escape tendencies, stress signals, and each dog's ability to settle. I prefer Meet & Greets for new clients so we can discuss your dog's normal behavior and determine whether my home environment is a good fit before committing to regular daycare or an extended boarding stay. I also monitor for changes in appetite, energy, bathroom habits, mood, sleep, movement, or behavior and will communicate with you if something seems unusual.

Pets

A typical day

I aim for a balanced day rather than keeping dogs continuously stimulated. Depending on the individual dog, a normal day may include supervised outdoor time, bathroom breaks, play with compatible dogs, individual attention, enrichment activities, meals according to your instructions, walks when appropriate, and plenty of opportunity to settle and rest. Some dogs want to play frequently. Others prefer following me around or finding a comfortable place to relax once they've had enough activity. I adjust the rhythm according to the dog rather than forcing every guest into the same routine. For boarding dogs, evenings become quieter and more household-oriented as everyone settles in for the night. You'll also receive photo updates so you can see how your dog is doing while they're with me.

The more accurately I understand your dog, the better I can care for them. Please tell me about anything that could affect their safety, comfort, or compatibility, including: behavior around other dogs; growling, snapping, biting, or resource guarding; separation-related behavior; escape attempts or door/gate rushing; house-training or marking issues; crate experience; areas they dislike being touched; fears or previous traumatic experiences; allergies, medications, health conditions, or mobility limitations; feeding and bathroom routines; anything that typically makes your dog more comfortable or more stressed. A behavioral quirk does not automatically mean I cannot care for your dog. I would much rather know about it beforehand so we can determine whether the environment and other dogs in my care will be a good fit.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
