Your Fur Baby’s Home Away From Home

We are retired known in our neighborhood as Dog Mom & Dad because we take care of stray dogs, find their owner, and sometimes take them in if we cannot find their owner. For over 40 years we have had one or more dogs, all from rescue centers or from our local vet who will refer us to owners who are no longer able to care for their furry buddy. Our goal is to replicate the schedule and environment your pet is accustomed to, give the love and attention that your pet gets at home and reinforce the training you have implemented. Safety and security are important to us; consequently, we have developed an intake process that assures other pets in our care have the proper vaccinations to protect our other “guest.” Therefore, a pre-stay consultation is REQUIRED to ensure that the appropriate vaccinations are current, and any special needs are identified. We live in a quiet neighborhood, with very little traffic. We have a completely fenced back yard with cameras to record all activity. We are both retired and assure you that your pet will be supervised twenty-four by seven. Text, pictures, and videos will be sent daily. For boarding in home stays, if you drop off in the morning and pick up in the evening a daycare charge will be for the last day. Hours: Drop-offs and pick-ups accepted at our home from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 4 pm to 6 pm Sunday. We will transport your dog (6-mile radius from our home only). Messages returned between 7 am and 7 pm. Meet and greets in our home scheduled between 10 am and 5 pm.

I am writing this testimonial on behalf of Gerald Selby. He and his wife, Diane, will be excellent Rover parents. As neighbors, I have known them for at least 15 years. They are avid dog lovers. I usually see them taking their dog out for backyard potty breaks. Their backyard is large and well enclosed. The security system around their home is excellent. Over all these years, they have always had a dog. However, their senior pet recently passed of old age. As Rover parents, they will love and nurture your pet as they have done their own... with much tender, loving, care. I recommend Gerald and Diane very highly as Rover parents. Their experience and love for pets is inspiring. They will be a great asset for your team.

If Dianne and Gerald join your company you will be so blessed. My dogs rush to greet them when they visit. They know, as only dogs know, that these are good human beings who are happy to see them, too. Gerald and Dianne have a history of adopting senior dogs. I have seen their dogs grow from timid and nervous to confidant and calm pets. Their home is a dog friendly environment with a large fenced in yard. Zoey, my 18 year old dog, loves to visit and I would feel comfortable leaving her with Dianne & Gerald.

Gerald and Dianne love dogs. They are attentive and very patient. They have cared for dog that was blind and had other health ailments. Due to their care, the dog survived an additional 4 years. They are professional with their clients and very communicative in informing pet owners of their pet’s behavior and health. They are great addition to Rover!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Gerald Selby for over thirty years. I am sincerely grateful to have a neighbor such as Gerald, he and my husband were great friends. Since my husband passed, Gerald has been helpful in a number of outside projects at my home. Many times Gerald would complete an outside project I started, and not say a word; but I always knew who had taken the time to finish it for me. Gerald gets along well with all of his neighbors, he is well informed about world events, and keeps us neighbors abreast of these events and community news. He is a man of integrity and kindness. It is clear Gerald genuinely loves pets (especially dogs), he has always had one or two dogs running around his house. He treats his pets like family often taking them on vacation with him. His dogs are spoiled (smile) but well behaved. They would often spend a lot of time outdoors when the weather permitted, inside his fenced yard. You would see the dogs but never hear them, they were well behaved. Gerald’s home is impeccably clean and his yard is well maintained. He has a passion for animals, any animal in his care would be well looked after. I would highly recommend Gerald Selby to anyone looking for a trustworthy, and caring employee as a pet sitter. He is committed to providing pets with love and care. Valerie Patterson

These are loving individuals! They have taken very good care of my fur baby on many occasions. They allow her to run in their beautiful fence in back yard. She gets lots of exercise, they send pictures and text messages throughout the day. Summa, loves them so much she will stand outside there door so that she is seen on the camera. There has been many time that my dog has ran out the yard and they where there to her rescues. They are very accommodating and keeps her safe at all times. They have a true love for dogs and makes sure they treat her like their own. The have a true passion for dogs!!
