Howdy! My name’s Gallagher, and I’ve been caring for animals ever since I was a kid—dogs, cats, you name it. Over the years, I’ve trained a few of my own pets to do tricks and behave like the perfect companions, and nothing brings me more joy than looking after animals. I currently have a 12-year-old cocker spaniel named Bowser (yes, he’s the boss of the house) and a 7-year-old cat named Simba (who rules from the highest shelf). They’ve both been trained to behave like model citizens—or at least close enough! In addition to caring for my own furry friends, I’ve had the privilege of walking, sitting, and boarding pets for friends, neighbors, and family members. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or just a quick walk around the block, I’m all in. I treat every animal I care for like family, and I take pride in providing the best care possible, from exercise and playtime to snuggles and belly rubs. I also have a special way with cats. Over the years, multiple people have told me that their cats—often known to be a bit, shall we say, “selective”—have been nicer to me and even let me pet them when no one else ever could. If your feline friend is on the shy or standoffish side, I’d love the chance to show them some love. I’ve always believed every cat just needs a little extra understanding (and maybe some well-timed chin scratches!). Also, being a bigger guy, handling larger dogs is a breeze for me—whether it’s a gentle giant who loves to cuddle or a super energetic pup that needs to burn off some energy.
