Pet care experience

Private 1on1 care 🐕 home full time

Hi! I’m Gaby, a lifelong dog lover offering calm, personalized, one-on-one care for your pup. I grew up with a pack of three amazing little dogs: Elmo, Cookie, and Ozzy (who’s in my profile photo!). They lived long, happy lives of 18, 17, and 14 years. Since I raised them from playful puppies to sleepy seniors, caring for them taught me how to support dogs through every stage of life. Thus, I have extensive experience with senior dogs, including administering oral medications and accommodating different routines, mobility needs, and comfort levels. My dogs were truly part of my family, and that’s exactly how I treat every dog who is in my care. I’m not quite ready for a pup of my own again, which means I get to pour all of that dog-loving energy into caring for your dog while they’re with me. I’m home full-time and only host one dog at a time (or two from the same family), so your pup will get lots of attention in a relaxed, low-stress environment. This makes me a great fit for dogs who may feel overwhelmed in busy boarding settings, need a little extra attention, or are used to being the only pet at home. My home has a fully fenced yard with grass and a shaded deck, plus access to a nearby greenbelt with a small creek for relaxed walks and sniffing time. I enjoy spending time outside (often doing pottery in the backyard if the weather is nice), and pups are welcome to hang out with me and relax in the fresh air. I live with my family (all adults), and while I’m the one directly responsible for your dog’s care and am home 99% of the time, if I ever need to step out briefly, someone is almost always around, so your pup is rarely ever left alone. Everyone in the house loves dogs and respects each dog’s routine and comfort. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is to make your pups' stay feel like a relaxed “home away from home,” where they get lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I’m also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you can see how your dog is doing during their stay. I look forward to meeting you and giving your pup plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles, and scritches!

Gabi was incredible! I felt 100% confidence in her caring for my dogs. She was incredibly thorough in learning about them both, which was so appreciated. She gave fantastic updates. Would absolutely book again and recommend.

Gaby was a calm and reliable dog sitter. She was accommodating and flexible in every way, so communication with her was going very well. She sent me photos and an update on how my dog was doing twice a day. so I was happy to receive her messages and enjoyed them. I have another booking scheduled with her and am looking forward to it.

I had a great experience. It was just service for couple of days but she took time for a meet and greet. She took great care of Cookie and made her feel comfortable. My pet came back home happy and that’s what all pet owners look for.

Schedule

Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I’m home full-time. Whether it's cuddling on the couch, tossing a toy around outside, or endless scritches, I'm their girl. Dogs in my care typically get 1 walk per day, but let me know if your dog needs more walks throughout the day. I keep a flexible schedule so I can follow your dog’s usual routine and adjust to their energy level, whether they enjoy more activity or prefer a slower pace. I go to the gym a few times per week for about 2 hours at a time, but outside of that, I’m home and available. Because I live with other adults, there is often someone home if I need to step out briefly, so your dog is rarely ever left alone. Since I only host one dog at a time (or two from the same family), I’m able to give each pup plenty of individualized care and make them a natural part of my day.

Safety, trust & environment

I do everything I can to make sure dogs feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while they’re with me. I only host one dog at a time, which helps keep the environment calm and cozy. My home has a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. Inside, they’re welcome to relax in the main living areas and my bedroom. My neighborhood also has a greenbelt if your pup enjoys nature walks. I have a dog bed and some toys they're welcome to use, or you can bring their bed and toys from home if your pup prefers. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, preferences, and any specific needs ahead of their stay. My goal is to create a space where your dog feels secure, relaxed, and cared for, just like they would at home.

A typical day

A typical day is relaxed, structured, and tailored to your dog’s needs. We usually start the morning with a potty break, followed by breakfast and some time to settle in. During the day, your pup will enjoy a mix of backyard time, play, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I typically include one walk per day, but I’m happy to adjust based on your dog’s routine and energy level. Since I’m home full-time, your dog will always have company and can move freely between relaxing, playing, and spending time nearby, just like they would at home. In the evening, we wind down with dinner and a calm, cozy environment before bedtime.

Before your dog’s stay, I like to learn a few details so I can make sure they feel as comfortable and at home as possible. It’s helpful to know: - Any health needs, allergies, medications, or sensitivities I should be aware of - Their feeding routine (type of food, portions, schedule, and any restrictions) - Their personality and temperament (what they enjoy, where they do or don't like to be pet, what they may be unsure about, and how they typically do in new environments) - Energy level and exercise preferences (walks, play style, etc.) - Any routines or habits that help them feel most comfortable (sleeping arrangements, crate use, etc.) - How they do on walks (pulling on the leash, stopping to smell things frequently, are they reactive with other dogs or cats they see, etc) - Any training cues or house rules you’d like me to continue while they’re with me Since I provide a calm, one-dog-at-a-time environment, I also like to know how your dog does when they’re on their own or in quieter settings. You’re always welcome to bring any favorite toys, bedding, or comfort items to help your pup settle in more easily. Thank you for sharing these details—I’m excited to get to know your dog and give them a safe, relaxing, and happy stay! 🐾
