Pet care fits pretty naturally into my daily routine. Dogs here get lots of attention, outdoor time, backyard breaks, play, naps, and relaxed company throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I’ve almost always had multiple dogs, so different personalities, energy levels, and routines feel pretty normal to me at this point. I do occasionally step out briefly for errands or appointments, so dogs staying here should be comfortable with short periods alone when needed (generally around 30 minutes to 1 hour max). Weekends around here are usually pretty relaxed — backyard time, toy play, projects around the house, and eventually everybody crashing somewhere around the dog suite afterward.

I keep things calm, structured, and low-volume both in my home and when caring for pets in a client’s home. At home, I have a fully fenced backyard with direct outdoor access, high-drainage pet turf, and pavers to help keep things clean, safe, and low-mud. Dogs get supervised outdoor time, backyard play, potty breaks, naps, toy play, and their own clean crate setup for downtime when needed. I pay close attention to introductions, body language, energy levels, and overall group compatibility instead of just throwing dogs together and hoping for the best. I currently cap: - daycare at 3 dogs - boarding at 2 dogs For drop-ins and walks, I’m very respectful of people’s homes, routines, and instructions. I’m a homeowner myself, so I take trust, communication, home access, and safety very seriously. My overall approach is attentive, communicative, and low-chaos for both pets and owners.

A few helpful things I like to know ahead of time so I can make sure it’s a good fit for everyone: - Is your dog house trained and generally good indoors? - Are they crate trained? - How do they do around other dogs and shared spaces? - Any major anxieties, triggers, medical needs, or routines I should know about? - What’s their normal energy level like day to day? - Any commands or cues they already know? I like keeping consistency with structure and communication while they’re here. For boarding/daycare dogs, I’m generally the best fit for dogs that can settle into a calmer home-style environment and aren’t looking for an all-day chaos wrestling convention :) For cat drop-ins, just let me know feeding routines, litter setup, medications (if any), and whether your cat is social, shy, or prefers to pretend I don’t exist for the first 20 minutes.
Ein typischer Tag
A typical day here usually includes a mix of backyard play, toy play, sniff sessions, lounging in the sun, naps, and relaxed company throughout the day. Depending on the dog, activities might include: - fetch or toy play - backyard zoomies - tug sessions - sniff enrichment - basic command reinforcement - lounging outside in the sun - calm decompress time indoors Mabel loves having dog friends around for backyard play, neighborhood squirrel surveillance, and eventually passing out somewhere dramatic afterward. Some dogs want more activity, others mostly want a calm place to settle and hang out nearby while I work on projects around the house. I try to adjust to each dog’s personality and energy level instead of forcing every dog into the same routine.

Erfahrung in der Haustierbetreuung
I've raised and trained 3 champion bloodline boxers from puppyhood through every life stage, so I'm very comfortable with high-energy dogs, giant personalities, structured routines, and the occasional stubborn streak. Today I split my time between consulting work and pet care. One unexpected benefit of leaving the traditional corporate tech grind is that I finally have the flexibility to spend more time doing something I've genuinely enjoyed for years—working with dogs. These days I provide structured walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and boarding throughout Ballard. I also care for pets on another pet care platform, where I've worked with everything from energetic puppies and adolescent chaos agents to shy dogs, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra time to build trust. After years of calendars, conference calls, forecasts, and executive meetings, I've discovered I much prefer helping a nervous dog gain confidence on a walk or convincing a puppy that the mystery object they found on the sidewalk is not, in fact, a snack. The dogs are usually easier to negotiate with. Through the canine grapevine, I've also learned that my official title is apparently "The Liver Treat PEZ Dispenser." I've also spent plenty of time on the owner side of pet care. Between work travel, conferences, and long weekends away, I've personally used kennels, daycare facilities, walkers, and sitters. A lot of what I do today comes from building the kind of reliable, communicative pet care experience I always wished I had available for my own dog. My boxer Mabel serves as the unofficial Director of Backyard Operations. Her duties include squirrel surveillance, neighborhood patrol, welcoming dog friends, and eventually collapsing somewhere dramatic after a hard day of absolutely nothing. I know trusting someone new with your pet can feel stressful. My goal is simple: provide calm, structured, reliable care with plenty of communication, photos, and updates along the way so you can feel confident your dog is safe, understood, and having a great time.

Left my pup with Felix and he did great he hadn’t spent a night away from me in 5 years and Felix made him feel right at home, also got multiple fun updates of my dogs adventures that day and nothing was left out! Even replaced his favorite lost toy! Thanks Felix

We booked Felix on short notice for evening daycare, and he was very thoughtful in assessing whether our dog would be a good fit for his setup. We really appreciated the detailed updates and feedback throughout the stay. Felix has a strong understanding of dog behavior and group dynamics, which gave us peace of mind, and our somewhat nervous dog seemed to fit right in with his pack. Thanks Felix!

Felix gave regular detailed updates about Monty’s stay with him! He made sure Monty had everything he needed and sent pictures of his days. I appreciated the dedication!

Felix was awesome, Lizard had a great time! Enjoyed the detailed updates and appreciated his fostering of a great dog space.
