🐾 Welcome to Rest With Roo A calm, caring home-from-home for dogs of all ages, personalities, and paces. Inspired by my own beloved senior dog Roo, I offer thoughtful, personalised care with a special soft spot for senior dogs, gentle souls, and pups who may need a little extra patience, mobility support, or slower-paced adventures. I understand that every dog is different — from energetic explorers to older or more low energy , dogs with mobility issues, buggy riders, or those recovering and needing gentler routines. I’m happy to adapt walks, outings, and care to suit your dog’s individual needs, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and included. The flat is also very cool - perfect for hot summer days and there is a secure balcony for us to sit on and watch the world go by! Although I don’t have my own individual garden, at the back of the property we have access to a huge secure shared garden (more like a small park!) We’re also just 5 minutes from beautiful Beckenham Place Park — perfect for peaceful sniffy strolls, buggy-friendly outings, enriching walks, or more active adventures depending on your dog’s pace. ✨ Services include: • Overnight stays (calm, home-from-home care) • Evening and morning / afternoon weekday walks — perfect for busy owners or later work/social plans. I can offer walks around Beckenham till 7pm. • Weekend walks & drop-ins • Doggy daycare, companionship & tailored support As you’ll see from my photos. I genuinely love treating the dogs in my care like family, and Fridays often include homemade dog-friendly gluten-free treats or cake for an extra special touch 🦴🍰 With me, they’ll be cared for with warmth, flexibility, and genuine affection. After struggling myself to find senior dog care I’m keen owners with elderly dogs know there is a sitter out there who will adapt to a slower paced, special routine! Don’t worry, we got you ! Esme has been having my dog huey on a regular basis for some time now and I couldn't be happier. Esme is kind, caring and makes sure that Huey is always well looked after and safe. Huey jumps on her whenever he sees her and looks so excited to be able to hang out with her. I can not recommend Esme enough, she is utterly awesome. Xx
Esme was absolutely fantastic with our little Jack Russell! She took such wonderful care of him, and it was obvious he was happy, comfortable, and well loved while we were away. Esme kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. He came home happy, relaxed, and full of his usual energy, and it was clear he’d had a great time. I have a shy older dog called Ronnie who loves his calm days, comfy sofas and a chance to go at his own pace with a few frosty faces friends 🐾. Esme is very reliable and such an animal lover who Ronnie loves to spend time with.
Esme looked after Henry and he had a great time! We had lots of photos and she kept us updated with all the fun stuff they did together. Henry will definitely be coming back to hang out with her dog Roo in the near future. 🥰
Esme has looked after my cat a few times and my cat’s always super happy to see her - which says a lot! She absolutely adores animals and gives them lots of love and attention! She’s got an elderly pup herself, so she really understands different needs and how to make pets feel safe and comfortable. Totally trustworthy and treats them like they’re her own - more like a home-from-home than just pet sitting :) would highly recommend!

Programa
I’m currently studying postgraduate Law with the goal of becoming a solicitor. Most of my studies are completed from home, which means I’m able to provide a calm, consistent presence throughout the day and give dogs plenty of companionship, attention and exercise. I only take a limited number of bookings so every dog receives personalised care and shyer, dogs who don’t thrive in traditional daycare relax and enjoy their day.

I offer calm, attentive care in my well-maintained home, with access to a garden for regular toilet breaks and Beckenham Place Park nearby for walks and enrichment. I have a gentle elderly dog, Roo, and I carefully consider each dog’s temperament and needs before accepting a booking. Where appropriate, I can also provide one-dog-only care. I follow each owner’s routine closely and provide regular updates and photos for reassurance.

A typical day is tailored to your dog’s age, energy levels and routine. We’ll start with a toilet break and walk (if appropriate), followed by plenty of play, enrichment, sniffing adventures and time to relax. I love taking dogs to explore Beckenham Place Park or the local church gardens, but I’m equally happy to enjoy slower-paced strolls or cosy cuddles at home for older or more relaxed dogs. Throughout the day, I’ll provide lots of affection, supervision and regular photo updates, so you can enjoy your day knowing your dog is happy and well cared for.
