Animal loving writer, zoologist and housekeeper!
Hi! I am a Zoology and Ecology graduate and a freelance writer. I adore animals of all shapes and sizes. And I am open to travelling anywhere in the UK to petsit as I enjoy travelling and exploring. Ignore my location as I'll travel to where I'm needed. But if you are far from Edinburgh I only tend to take longer pet sits to balance out the travel costs. I have cared for friends' and family's pets for as long as I can remember. I even worked at a zoo for a time. I have a long term dream to do a PhD involving fieldwork with wolves. I have a published paper on orangutan communication and a dissertation on bird behaviour too. Animals are my life!

Professionally I have cared for dogs, cats, fish and fowl. Chickens, ducks and quail. I am comfortable walking dogs in both the city and the countryside. Catering to whatever special needs your animals may have. Giving them their medication, adapting to suit their fears or obsessions, providing them with any day to day little comforts and activities that will help to keep them happy and healthy!

Emma was great. She sent regular photo updates of my two dogs, stuck exactly to the instructions I had left her and left the house spotless on my return. Dogs were clearly happy and comfortable when I got home. Would 100% use Emma again.
Emma is a professional dog sitter. We were worried about our dogs and could not have left them in better hands. She went beyond what we were expecting in preparation of us leaving. We highly recommend Emma for your dog/house sitting needs
As new pet owners we had never had anyone look after our kittens before, however Emma made the entire experience seemless and stress free. Emma arrived promptly and fully took on board all of our care instructions. Ash and Pippin took to Emma immediately which was a huge comfort. Although we were only away for a day and a half, Emma provided lots of updates and photos/videos showing what our kittens were up too, which made us so happy. Emma was an excellent house guest and made sure she left our home the same as when she arrived, including cleaning litter trays and food bowls. We had an amazing experience with Emma and we would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to book a trip away, as not only is she very good at what she does she's also a very kind person. Emma was amazing when I was stuck at short notice. Despite us not having time for a proper handover etc, Emma took the most excellent care of both my dogs and cats, and they were delighted to have her (as was I) Emma kept me up to date with messages and photos everyday and was the perfect house guest, couldn’t recommend her enough x

Harmonogram
I have had cats, guinea pigs, hamsters and moths (!) as pets myself. I petsat continuously in locations all over Scotland last year, from Edinburgh to the Cairngorms, for dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, quail, and tropical fish. I also previously dogsat for my professor for 3 months in Mawgan-in-Meneage in Cornwall whilst she was checking on her orangutan sanctuary in Borneo! So rural locations are no problem. I have volunteered at doggy daycare centres and throughout my careers cared for rats, beetles, red river hogs, you name it.
