I work 8 hour shifts at a hardware store. I am thankfully able to visit my home on lunch break and give all pups a potty break. Dogs will be left either crated while I am away. At this time I can only accept crate trained dogs. This is for their safety as well as the safety of my own pets, as my dog and cats free roam the house while I am away. The dogs get a thorough play session before I leave for work, and another upon me returning home. Then I will typically fill a food stuffable toy(kongs or snufflemats) for my dog and yours if you send one with them (at this time I do not have spares for pet boarding clients - though I do hope to at some point!) while I retrieve my son from the school bus, give him the attention he deserves and get about to making dinner for the humans and animals in my home. I am currently only able to work with dogs that are child friendly, as I do have my seven year old son with me at most times, and his safety is paramount.

Bezpieczeństwo, zaufanie i środowisko

I care for pets as if they are my own, this includes making sure they are pain free, eating properly, receive grooming as needed (brushing and nail trims) I believe that a tired pet is a happy pet, so we make sure to spend a lot of time playing, walking and burning off their energy. I do try to follow your pets normal schedule, and I do put dogs away in the crates for short periods of time each day. This is typically for them to eat their own meals while my son is eating, or when I have to step outside, as I do not leave any dogs (even my own dog) with my son unattended. At this time I do require proof of a rabies vaccination as well as flea prevention before I can accept your dog/s into my home. I often will take dogs for a daily walk through our wooded property, and with that there is always a chance we come across a wild animal. Rabies vaccination is important to me, to keep your pet and my family safe. I cannot accept animals into my home that have fleas as my own dog is extremely sensitive to them, so I cannot allow an infestation in my home. Dogs will be checked for fleas upon arrival, and the stay will be cancelled if there are fleas or signs of fleas (bites, flea dirt) on your animal.

Informacje, które Emily G. chce poznać na temat Twojego zwierzaka

I need to know about any aggression issues: human or animal, food, or toy possessiveness. Health issues! Any health problems need to be brought up in the beginning of our conversation, so that I can stay on the watch for any problems arising. Knowing any issues your dog may have can help me keep them as safe as possible! I also have each and every client fill out this questionnaire about each of their dogs. This is to help me to provide the best care I can for your pet: Is ____ house trained? Has _____ been around children? Has _____ been around cats? Is _____ crate trained? Will you be sending _____ crate with them for them during their stay? (I do have crates available, but for very large dogs, I may not have an appropriately sized crate available.) Does _____ usually jump over baby gates? Is _____ currently on a flea/tick preventative? Is _____ allowed on furniture? When does ____ eat, and how much? Can you provide proof of _____ rabies certificate? How much exercise does _____ get on a normal day for them? What time does _____ usually get up, and go to bed? Would you like for me to trim _____ nails while in my home? What commands does ____ know? (Sit, down, come, stay, etc) Does ____ have any important quirks? (Such as being afraid of thunderstorms, or needing a specific routine before I leave the house?)

Lots of playing! I try to make sure dogs get one-on-one with me, and if they are good with other dogs, they get lots of playing time with my dog, Vega! I have lots of toys on the premises; including: tennis balls, nylabones, and squeaker toys! I also have several different areas available in my home, for separation of dogs if need be. I have had experience dealing with dogs that did not get along, and with dogs that have food and toy aggression. In my current home, the layout of the house makes it very easy to have dogs in different areas of the house if need be. Even to just separate for food or play, it's safety first!

Doświadczenie w opiece nad zwierzętami

I have been around dogs (and other animals) my entire life, and have dedicated a lot of my life to rescuing animals. I believe tired dogs behave better! So, I'm all about the play, exercise, and mental stimulation! I have trained dogs in the past for several dogs sports including, agility, dock diving, disc and sledding, though I have never competed, I’ve just done it for fun with my dogs

Emily did a great job looking after our dog and keeping us informed on a daily basis with pictures and texts. She is really knowledgeable about dogs and is very conscientious. Our dog came home healthy and happy after her week at Emily’s and we’d definitely board her with Emily again.

Emily was great! She provided detailed and frequent updates on our dogs. She was informative, friendly and very caring. She even provided grooming tips. We would use her services again and recommend her.

She gave numerous updates on my dog bane. He got stung by a bee on a walk, which is definitely my dogs doing, Emily removed the stinger and asked about meds before giving him any. Would definitely book again. Thanks y’all.
