Brii is my sister and has always been an animal lover. She had owned cats, dogs, gerbils, hedgehogs, turtles, fish, and guinea pigs throughout her life and has always taken exceptionally good care of them. Growing up, she always said working with animals would be her dream. She wanted to be a veterinarian. That changed over time when she began leaning more toward a career in psychology but her love for nature and animals never changed. I own two Siamese cats, Randy and Earl. Randy and Earl get weekly FaceTime calls from my sister as well as visits when she’s up this way. She loves them and they love her. If I had to choose anyone to watch them while away, I would choose her every time.

Brii is my wife, yes, but she’s also the cat mom of my two cats. When Brii and I were simply friends, I had fallen into a depression. We were long distance and FaceTimed often, and she suggested I adopt a pet. I found Crackers first. My sister works for the Indianapolis Humane Society and Crackers was a rescue they’d brought in after he was found under rubble from a house fire. They nursed him back to health but he was very timid. I adopted him, and on a visit soon after, Brii met him. He instantly loved her. In fact, I think he likes her more than me. Haha. And when I rescued his younger brother, Cheese, he also attached himself to Brii very quickly. Now both cats are loved and cared for every day by my beautiful wife. And I love that she loves them the way she does. She’s amazing with them!
