Hello! My name is Eleni. I grew up with a dog in my family and developed a deep love and respect for animals from an early age. During my student years in Greece, I was also an active member of a local animal welfare group, where I helped care for and support animals in need. One of my earliest and dearest companions was a black-and-white dog I adopted from a local shelter. I cared for him for several years and helped him recover from Kala-azar, and he remained my beloved companion for a long time (you can see him in my earlier photos). After moving to London for my studies, I started dog sitting to enjoy the company of dogs at home while studying, as having a pet around was essential for my mental well-being during stressful periods. After finishing my studies, I stayed and worked in London, and taking care of my flatmate’s dog, Perri, became a central part of my life. Perri had a special place in our home (you can see him always on his green armchair or on the sofa just for him). Recently, my flatmate started a family and Perri moved with them. Now, I would love to welcome dogs into my home again, as both my home and my arms feel empty without their company. I also get along wonderfully with cats—I haven’t had my own, but I have cared for and bonded with my flatmates’ cats, who are very dear to me (you can see them in my photos).
