A typical day

I usually go for a bigger walk during the day and then a smaller one in the evening! Please let me know if your doggo requires a specific regiment. There are lots of spots and parks in my area that I love to visit - exploring the neighborhood, visiting Hamstead Heath or Queen's Park on the weekends, and the smaller parks around the area such as Mapesbury Dell, Iverson Road Dog Park, or Tiverton Green during the week!

Pet care experience

Hello! I'm Dora and I live in a spacious flat with a big terrace and love going on walks around the neighbourhood. I've been a Rover sitter for 5+ years. A little bit about me: I grew up with animals all around my household - my family had 2 mischievous cats and a playful rescue dog. I've lived in London for 10 years and work in film advertising. I have plenty of patience and lots of love to give. I respect boundaries and rules - so don't be afraid to tell me what your pet's needs might be! Always happy to cater to you and your dog's needs.

Jax had the absolute best time during his stay with Dora. She sent updates multiple times a day with photos showing how much fun he was having! I could tell he was comfortable there, and I would trust Dora to care for Jax again.

Dora has been looking after our Bella a few days a week for months and is the nicest, warmest person! She is always available and quick to reply and super accommodating to any last minute changes or last minute collection requests! Bella is always very happy when we pick her up and Dora sends great photos and updates throughout the day!

This is our dog’s third stay with Dora and I’m so so grateful to have found such a wonderful dog sitter, who genuinely loves the dogs and who our dog loves!!

Unfortunately, I would not recommend Dora. Before the booking, I explained over the phone that my dog is an active dog and needs three walks per day, including one longer walk. Darcy wears a tracker collar due to a heart condition, which also records GPS data. During the stay, the collar was removed for approximately 16 hours and I started to worry. After I asked for it to be put back on, the GPS data showed that Darcy was generally only being taken out twice a day, with very short Walks of 10-15 min or so, rather than the agreed three walks (including the long walk which should be over 30 min). When my friend collected Darcy, Dora stated that he had already been taken out that morning. The GPS data did not support this. In hindsight, I should have paid more attention when Dora told me she trains dogs to use the terrace. While a terrace can be convenient, it is not a substitute for regular outdoor walks. Dogs need exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to sniff and explore outside. If an owner clearly explains their dog’s needs and pays for professional care, it is reasonable to expect those instructions to be followed, especially when dog sitting is advertised as a full-time profession. She was very communicative and send many pictures but it is not sufficient as per the above I am afraid.
