I haven't used my Rover account for a few years, but after moving to Maine, I find myself missing the dog friends I left behind in Vermont. If you have a dog who wants to play and get lots of affection, I'd love to meet him or her. I have about a decade's worth of experience with dogs and just love them. For overnight stays at your place, please contact me with details about your home and pets. I water plants, take in mail, bring my own food and respect other peoples' property and privacy. I'm uber clean and tidy and value those qualities in the homes where I stay. For boarding at my place: I live in a brand new condo, so I can only take one quiet, well-trained dog at a time. (Frequent barking isn't doable.) There are lots of paths to walk and open spaces for play nearby, and there are other dogs in the building and the vicinity. Please bring your dog's favorite things so s/he feels at home. I don't have much furniture, but that means there's space to play with a tennis ball :) I never leave pets alone for longer than 2 hours, especially if it's their first time with me.

Donna instantly connected kindly and graciously with both our dog and cat, and also very reassuringly with me. I had to leave town unexpectedly and was looking for a dog-sitter at the last minute. Mary Pawpins to the rescue! I would not hesitate to hire Donna again. She was attentive and very caring.
Donna is an amazing fur-baby sitter. She is caring and patient, sends pictures and our pup is always content when we come home. She also leaves the house neat and tidy and is excellent at communicating.
Donna is an extremely responsible dog sitter. She has dog sat for us multiple times and we would always use her if she is available. She loves dogs and seems to be able to deal with rowdy young dogs too. Our dogs always are well looked after and loved when Donna dog sits. Each time she has dog sat for us she has stayed at our house and is extremely tidy and cares for our house really well. I would highly recommend Donna.
Donna cared for our indoor/outdoor cats for 2 weeks, feeding them twice a day, catering to their whims and making sure they were in at night. I can always tell how well they were cared for by their attitudes when we return and I must say they were very happy cats! Donna also stayed at our house and did a great job with the day to day duties of house business - mail, garbage, etc. She’s smart, funny, trustworthy and very responsible. I highly recommend her as a pet sitter.

I'm a writer, plus I'm looking for a job, so almost all of my time is spent at home on a computer. I don't really leave pets alone for longer than an hour or two, and if your dog likes to go on errands, please tell me because I love having them tag along.

Your dog will always be on a leash unless you specifically ask me not to for certain activities. I'm a fan of harnesses rather than collars with leashes, as they can hurt the dog's neck. If your dog likes to sleep in a crate or needs to be crated when left alone, please bring it over, along with anything else that makes him or her feel comfortable. Please don't forget to bring food.
Ein typischer Tag
I believe exercise is crucial for good behavior and love going on long walks. If weather is really bad, I've been known to chase dogs around kitchen islands :) If your dog knows tricks/likes to work for treats, enjoys car rides or has any type of favorite activities, I'll do my best to incorporate them.
