I usually start the day with a longer walk in the nearby park and woodland, followed by a shorter midday walk or toilet break. In the late afternoon we have another longer walk, and a short walk in the evening to finish the day. Throughout the day, dogs are usually in the same room as me while I work from home. They have plenty of cosy spots to rest, with beds, throws, and toys, and meals are given according to your dog’s usual schedule. I follow your dog’s energy and needs, providing calm time, play, or cuddles as they prefer.

Your dog’s safety is my absolute priority. I live in a very secure, private building with electronic gates, controlled entry and lift access, so there is no direct access from the street. Dogs are always walked on lead unless you’ve confirmed they are safe to be off lead, and I’m very mindful around roads and other dogs. Because I only care for one dog at a time, I’m able to give them my full attention and keep a calm, well-managed environment both at home and on walks.

Information Dionne W. would like to know about your pet
Before your dog stays with me, it’s helpful to know their usual routine for walks, rest, and play, any medical needs or medications, and any behaviours or quirks I should be aware of. I’d also like to know if they have favourite toys, blankets, or comfort items, and whether they are happy to share the home with another dog (my dog Kevin). My two teenage daughters are calm, familiar with dogs, and will be home after school and sometimes at the weekends, helping to create a safe, relaxed, family environment. This information helps me make sure their stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
A typical day
We walk several times a day in the park, fields and woodland nearby. We have a mixture of running and playful walks and sniffy walks. At home we have a large selection of toys - squeekers, tug, balls and softies. We play several times a day when the dogs want to and went they want to rest and sleep then can do that too. I take my guide from them.

Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs in my life for nearly 50 years, from Great Danes to miniature terriers, and they’ve always been treated as family. My ethos is simple: love, kindness and a calm home-from-home where your dog feels completely safe and settled. I only ever care for one dog at a time, so your dog gets my full attention and a peaceful, relaxed environment. Dogs are welcome to snuggle on the sofa, curl up on the bed and make themselves completely at home, I want them to feel part of the family while they’re here. My own dog Kevin is happy, confident and used to sharing his home with visiting dogs.
Reviews

On first meeting Dionne I knew our cat, Rio, would be well cared for and loved on our two week holiday. Rio immediately responded positively to her calm approach. We received lots of photos and contact throughout the time away. Rio was very content and so happy when we returned home. Clearly having been loved and receiving the attention he needed! Thanks Dionne, so much. You made my time away stress free! Will definitely invite you back to care for Rio. 😊

Dionne was absolutely amazing with our Spencer and we couldn’t be happier! She kept us updated regularly so we always had peace of mind knowing he was in safe hands. She followed all of his instructions, feeding, walking and his daily care routine were all handled perfectly. What really stood out was how much love and attention she gave him. Dionne didn’t just look after him, she treated him exactly as we would. He was so well cared for and clearly felt right at home. We came back to one very happy, content pup and will absolutely be booking with Dionne again in the future!

We are so pleased to have found Dionne. She did such a great job watching our Basset Hound, keeping us updated with photos and videos throughout. We are grateful to have found someone we can trust to take good care of our dog. Thank you, Dionne! We will definitely be using her in future!

Dionne was brilliant with Raffles and he had a great time with her and her lovely dog Kevin. Dionne kept me updated and sent lots of pictures and videos, and he settled in really quickly. Couldn’t recommend Dionne more, and we will certainly be using her again.
