Since I was a little girl I’ve always had the biggest love for animals of all kinds! I grew up on shows like “Dr. Jeff - The Rocky Mountain Vet”. It was my dream to be a vet;however, my lifestyle goals have changed, but my passion for animals hasn’t, so I decided to join Rover! I have had a variety of small pets over the years. My most recent companion was an African Pygmy Hedgehog, Hedgie, who I adopted when he was just a few weeks old. Unfortunately, Hedgie passed away a few months ago from old age, and since then I have been looking for some new fury friends. When I was younger I had two purebred pit-bulls and a rescue cat. As for my experience, I have been surrounded by animals of all kinds, specifically dogs and cats my entire life. I began dog walking and sitting for family and friends when I was in middle school. In high school I studied duel enrollment veterinary science at a trade school. Aside from the medical aspects, the curriculum focused on walking skills, proper collar/harness and leash usage, nutrition, microchip identification, grooming, oral hygiene, injection techniques, and oral administration of medications. In addition to my veterinary education, I have been a frequent volunteer at the Prince William County Animal Shelter for the past several years.
