Information Deanna D. would like to know about your pet
No breed preferences whatsoever. In addition to feeding times and number and timing of walks (to keep to the dog's usual schedule as close as possible), I would want to know in advance about any proclivities. Are they diggers, jumpers? Are they sofa or shoe chewers? Just so I can prepare (and protect) the environment for them. Also helpful to know what commands they understand. I have experience training a dog from puppyhood, so I'm willing to attempt some modest training upon request if the owner desires.
A typical day
My neighborhood is a really cool place for dog walking, and for dogs who want to go the distance, there's a park to walk to and from for an hour loop. My smallish yard is fenced in, although large jumping dogs might be able to escape. I would be outside with any dogs hanging out in my yard and have toys for them to play with. I'm home most of the time, so the dogs I board will get a lot of attention.

Pet care experience
I had a dog in my household as a child but didn't have one of my own until I was in my late 40s. I adopted him as a puppy having no clue how much work puppies are! He was a pit-bull mix who proved to be super smart (easily trained). He was the love of my life, but he died a few years ago. I miss having a dog, but at this stage of my life would rather "borrow"them. My house and yard are dog-friendly, and my neighborhood is a great place to walk. I am happy to discover each dog's quirks and preferences and accommodate them. I understand their needs for human interaction when their owners aren't around and am happy to fill the gap. I’m extremely flexible and accommodating and can accept pets with incontinence issues caused by age or health, but I can’t accept healthy pets who aren’t house trained. I currently don’t work outside my home so am able to provide a routine that meshes with what the dog is used to at his or her home. I just mesh my guest dogs into my household, following owner’s guidelines for feeding, walking, and potty times but otherwise just giving them attention and affection inside the house or in my yard.
Reviews

Deanna is amazing! We are from out of state and we were looking for someone to watch our dog while we were at a wedding. Deanna took the best care of Timber and made her so comfortable! She had space to play, toys to play with, and took lots of notes for being able to take care of Timber to the best of her ability. She also sent us lots of photos and videos which I loved! Will 100% choose Deanna again if we are back in the area!

Deanna was lovely, communicative, and wonderful with my dog Luna. 5 stars!

Deanna was one of the best sitters we have ever met! She was very communicative, considerate, flexible, and attentive to our two fur babies, who have a tendency to be a little skittish. She put them (and us) at ease right away. Would love to have her help us again in the future, highly recommend!

Deanna was a great sitter! She let our dog explore the yard and sunbathe as much as she wanted. We felt at ease knowing Kahlo was in great hands. We'll definitely rebook in the future!
