First and foremost, I must state how big my passion for animals has been throughout my life. I really had no idea i would get into the veterinary field as an adult, but now that I have, I can't imagine spending my life any other way. I began pet sitting years ago while my husband was deployed multiple times and i went through my schooling to become a certified vet assistant, which i obtained in 2015. I began mostly around my military housing community, in which I also did personal housekeeping, for residents as well. I also am a foster/volunteer which began 6 years ago for Scratchmybelly (an all breed rescue based here in San Diego). Our family has fostered and adopted out 23 pups for SMB in that 6 years. I am so happy to be around animals of all sorts, and aside from my clinical education my family is lucky to have had a deaf chiweenie, 2 Great Danes,a Shit Tzu/poodle mix, and a pug to call our pals, so nothing is too big or too small for me. My experience administering medication I have received my certification as a veterinary assistant, so I am knowledgeable and comfortable with administration of medications. I have also had "special needs" dogs as part of my family so a little extra care is no problem for me.
