Pet care experience
Flexible care for your awesome dogs
I work remotely in marketing full time. We’re very grateful to have a nice home with a wonderful, large, fenced-in backyard that allows the dogs to go potty in and explore (bark!). My availability and hours are very flexible and the dogs are rarely left alone or kenneled, they are free to roam the house, I just close doors as necessary. I have never owned a dog of my own, I just grew up around dogs and cats. Mainly and most recently, it was a sisters two dogs our family spent the most time around: Gibbs (15 lb., 13 yr old, male Jack Russell Terrier & Beagle mix) and Zero (65 lb., 5 yr old, male Standard Poodle). I would basically Rover for her and her husband, which including giving the senior, anxiety-ridden dog meds (he didn’t enjoy, he would spit them up). We enjoyed being outdoors and evening walks around the neighborhood and having them a part of our family. They have then since moved to the West coast with their dogs.

Ratings and reviews
Darian was extremely easy to work with, communicated well and our dog got plenty of attention and walks! I would recommend her as a sitter!

10 stars! Darian was great-sent me updates throughout the week, reassured me my high energy dog was in good hands and even cleaned out her water bowl. Highly recommend! Darian has an obvious love for animals and I know my doggo was treated like her own. I will definitely be using her again the future.

Darian was great, I would definitely trust her with my 2 senior dogs again if I need a sitter. This was the first time we have used a sitter that wasn't a family member. She sent pictures and updates a couple of times per day which was very appreciated! When I picked them up, my dogs both appeared happy and well cared for.

Darian was a huge help and had the ideal set up for my dog. She made sure he got his daily exercise and playtime. We dont leave our dog too often and he does have some seperation anxiety from mom but it wasnt a problem with Darian, Micahel really liked her.
Darian took great care of my dogs.
Darian was great. Let me know when she arrived, took pictures and communicated when she left. Will definitely reach out again

Schedule
I work remotely and am blessed with the work-life balance it offers. I have an energetic elementary school-aged daughter. She's an empath and truly cares for all animals wellbeing! She's deeply concerned about any discomfort or distress. We have a dog-friendly orange cat named Buddy (4). He's fed first thing in the AM and enjoys chin scratches. He stays nearby me in my office or does his own thing. My daughter buses to and from school and I take a hour lunch at noon, then am done at 5 PM and we go about our evening routine. Dogs go out every few hours (sliding patio door) to the fenced in yard or when they signal me. Right in the morning and before bed. I try to get as much activity in for us as possible, especially on decent weather days. We utilize a nearby parks, dog park and walking trails in our community. Having the dogs here really motivate me to go for more walks, the dogs love them and I appreciate the eager walking company. I also live with my younger sister (23). She works full time 2 jobs as a CNA/retail, isn't home much but does help me care for the dogs, such as a short walk around the block.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Our home is a 4 bed, 3 level split with a finished basement. It has a large secure, fully-fenced in yard and the property has 11 trees. Garage is attached. We all sleep in the upstairs bedrooms which is also where my office is. I have 2 litter boxes for my cat, one in garage that he prefers. The other is in the basement bathroom, where I can keep the door shut (Ive caught sisters dog eating litter covered turds). Our neighborhood is very safe and quiet. I have a reflective sash I wear out at night (this summer I was nearly ran over by an SUV when it was dark). The dogs usually sleep on the floor in my room and it's OK if they sleep on the bed, I am not concerned about fur. If the dog stinks, I can give them a bath either downstairs in the wash tub or upstairs in the bathtub. If they stay longer and start to stink, I will bathe them, because everyone feels better after a bath.
Pets
A typical day
Feed 7 AM. We will either go in the backyard for exercise or on a walk throughout the day. We can play catch in our living room but aim for walks. Feed 5 PM. Multiple potty breaks throughout the day. I would ask you please bring a kennel if you have one, I do not.
