Pet care experience

WFH Dog Mom that can help train

As an animal lover and dog mom to a high-energy Australian Shepherd, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet. I’ve cared for everything from playful puppies to senior dogs with special needs and am confident handling a variety of temperaments—including reactive or anxious dogs. My own dog, Nitro, started out nervous and reactive, and through lots of time, training, and patience, he’s become a confident, happy dog. While I’m not a trainer, I’m always happy to support your dog’s needs and share what’s worked for us. I offer a calm, structured environment and personalized care based on your dog’s energy level, comfort, and routine. You can count on me to provide attentive, reliable care—and I’ll keep you updated so you always know how your dog is doing.

Doggy Day Care • Nov 03, 2025

Dannyelle took such wonderful care of our puppy. On the second day we dropped him off he was so excited to see Dannyelle. She was very communicative and shared lots of photos of Loki. We are sadly from out of town, but if we’re ever in town again we would love to have Loki stay with her again. Her pup Nitro was also very well behaved and friendly with our puppy.

I left my 6(almost 7)month golden retriever puppy, Barbie, with Dannyelle for a long weekend trip and could tell Barbie was in the best care. Dannyelle sent thoughtful updates during my trip and kept up with Barbie’s training I’ve implemented at home. It also helps that my golden loves everybody and loved getting to hang with Nitro for a few days.

AMAZING!!!!! DANNYELLE AND NITRO ROCK!! DJ had the BEST time and loved every minute!! I HIGHLY recommend Dannyelle - she put up with a very rough around the edges semi trained teen shepherd and gave us back a nice calm HAPPY puppy!! We got very sweet photos and updates and I was able to fully enjoy my vacation! I cannot say enough good things... I really can't. DJ misses them already!! We definitely will be asking for Dannyelle and Nitro again for our next vacation!

Schedule

I work from home and have a dog of my own, so dog care is naturally built into my day. I follow a structured schedule and I adjust the routine based on each dog’s energy level and needs. Since I’m home most of the time, your dog will get plenty of attention and care throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment

When it comes to caring for your dog, I treat them like my own—because I know how much they mean to you. I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to trust someone else with your pet, so I’m always happy to answer questions and share updates to help you feel confident and at ease. Safety is a top priority. I monitor dogs closely throughout the day and require all dogs staying with me for daycare or boarding to be up to date on vaccines, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm medication. My home is clean, safe, and dog-friendly—your dog won’t find food or random items to get into. I provide clean bowls and fresh water daily, and I wipe paws after walks. Transparency is very important to me. While I know behavior can vary in new environments, please be as detailed and honest as possible about your dog’s habits. This helps me ensure I’m the right fit and can provide the best care in a clean, safe, and stress-free space for everyone.

A typical day

A typical day with me includes a balanced mix of walks, play, and rest. I usually take two walks a day and enjoy exploring the neighborhood. We break up the day with interactive play—like tug-of-war, fetch, or hide and seek—along with quiet downtime in between. If your dog enjoys playing with others, Nitro is always happy to join in, under close supervision. Whether your dog is active or more laid-back, I’ll follow their pace and make sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and right at home.

To provide the best care possible—and for the safety of your dog, my dog, and others—here are a few things I’d love to know in advance: - Potty and feeding schedule - Are they potty trained? Do they have accidents or mark indoors? Please note: if your dog is older than 1 year old and has an accident in the house, I unfortunately will charge a $15 cleanup fee per accident - Any behaviors I should know about (e.g., reactivity, anxiety, barking, resource guarding)? - Leash behavior—do they pull, lunge, or react on walks? For dogs over 40 lbs, I prefer they’re leash trained or walked with appropriate tools. - For high-energy dogs or puppies—are they crate trained? - How do they handle being left alone? - Are they up to date on vaccines, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention? Feel free to share anything else! We’ll also cover everything during our meet & greet 🙂
