Small dog lovers, warm & calm home
Please note: Boarding availability will be limited during July and August, so we recommend booking early. Hi! We're Danielle and Joel, a dog-loving couple with over 7 years of experience caring for dogs. We've hosted and cared for many pups of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and we love getting to know each one. We work from home in our single-family home in South Berkeley, so your pup will get plenty of attention, supervision, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. We also have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor fun. We have two dogs of our own, Nala and Simba, who love making new friends. To keep things low-stress and give every dog lots of individual attention, we typically board only small to medium-sized dogs and accept just one new boarding guest at a time. Every first stay is a temperament assessment to make sure it's a great fit for everyone. Your dog will enjoy four daily walks, supervised backyard time, and lots of love while they're with us. We're also certified in pet CPR and have experience caring for everyone from energetic puppies to senior dogs.

Danielle took amazing care of our dog Tomo! It was so nice that she only watches small dogs. Tomo had a lot of like-sized playmates all week. He got to go to the park and the beach and hang out in the backyard a lot. Danielle sent us lots of photos and even gave him a bath before we picked Tomo up! Would definitely recommend for anyone with a small dog!
Danielle took wonderful care of my dog! She handled all her medications well and was super mindful of a small wound my dog had on her belly, making sure to clean it daily. Looking forward to my dog’s next stay. Thank you!

Schedule
Joel works from home full-time, and Danielle works from home most of the week, so there’s almost always someone home to keep your pup company. This allows us to provide lots of attention, consistent care, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of one-on-one time. We’re especially happy to care for dogs who thrive with extra companionship or may experience a little separation anxiety. One thing to note is if your dog is with us over the weekend, we may go to Livermore or San Leandro to see Joel’s family. We usually bring dogs in our care with us unless they would do better at home.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is our top priority, so we do not to take two new dogs on the same day (unless they both come from the same owners) to avoid any mishaps. Your dog will have a very intimate, quiet, tranquil boarding experience. Please note we cannot guarantee that your dog will be the only dog boarded while here as we take up to four dogs a night and two doggy day cares during the day. If it is their first time boarded, they will only be with regulars (who have been temperament tested) as we never take more than one new dog at a time.

A typical day for your dog in our care will include a morning walk, morning playtime, breakfast, a midday walk, an evening walk, dinner, and ample outdoor time in our backyard.
