Pet care experience

Where Every Pet Gets VIP Treatment

I have taken care of my parents senior dog in my home while they were out of town. Helped a former coworker with her dog, also in my home, while she was out of town. I have helped a friend of mine with their senior dog + 4 cats in their home as drop in visits while they were out of town. Since starting Rover, I have had multiple in home stays with dogs, and homes that have both dogs and cats.

Chelsea took good care of our babies and our home. My husband returned to a house as clean, if not more, than when we left. The only issue was frequency of photos and updates. We stated a preference for daily; it was more every other day, so be clear and insistent with your own preferences.

Chelsea was great with all my pets. She was able to accommodate a last-minute booking when I got no responses from other sitters.

Chelsea provided an average level of care for Scout. She was communicative and followed all instructions, and we were glad to have her look after our dog while we were away. We felt comfortable knowing Scout was at home and in good hands.

Schedule

I work full-time from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. My morning routine includes leaving the house by 7:00 AM to take my child to daycare or school. Before departing, all pets in my care are taken outside, fed, and provided with any necessary medications. Depending on the proximity of your home, I may be available to stop by during my lunch break to check on and care for your pet. After work, I pick up my child from daycare and can typically arrive at your home around 5:00 PM. Upon arrival, dogs will be taken outside promptly and fed as needed. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss specific care needs or scheduling.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets with the same level of attention and compassion as I do my own. I follow each pet’s individual feeding schedule, ensure they always have access to fresh water, and administer any required medications as directed. Dogs are taken outside regularly for bathroom breaks and exercise, and I make time to play and engage with them to keep them happy and active. For cats, I maintain clean litter boxes in addition to providing consistent feeding, fresh water, and attentive care. I also enjoy offering treats when permitted; my daughter especially loves helping to give treats, making it a fun and positive experience for your pet.

Pets

A typical day

For dogs, we engage them with high-energy play like tug-of-war, interactive toy throwing (with the hopeful bonus of a game of fetch), and activities that keep them mentally and physically stimulated. For cats, we tailor playtime to their natural instincts, using toys, movement, and creative interaction to capture their curiosity and keep them engaged in whatever way excites them most.

Chelsea can host up to 1 pet per night
Please note: I have a 7-year-old child who accompanies me during overnight stays and, at times, during drop-in visits. For this reason, it is important that your pets are comfortable around children and demonstrate a gentle, friendly demeanor when interacting with them. I also appreciate being informed of any medications your pet requires, including specific dosages and administration times, as well as any other special care needs. I am happy to accommodate pets with special requirements and will do my best to follow all care instructions closely to ensure your pet remains safe, comfortable, and well-cared for.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
