I work as a freelancer and have some short to long contracts, so very varied! This does however mean that it’s hard to predict if I’ll be working too far into the future. It also means that I have some long stints of not working so it’s always worth dropping me a message just incase!

I don’t have any pets that live with me in my flat which is situated very close to the Grove Park and not too far from Dunorlan or Calverly either. I enjoy walking and have my own car so am able to travel to houses.

Information Cecily A. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog requires special care such as dietary requirements, allergies or general behavioural problems. I will need to know how well they act in situations with other dogs or animals and how good there recall is. This is not to say I will put them in a position where these might occur, but just general vital information for walking practices.
A typical day
I enjoy providing mental stimulation for dogs such as fetch and locating games as well as training games if they are interested. I think it helps to create a bond with the dog as well as keeping them occupied. There are lots of lovely walks in the local area and it’s possible I might take them further a field to some local fields or to the coast if I happen to be planning on going that way.

Animal obsessed experienced sitter!
Pet care experience
I’ve grown up with animals all my life and couldn’t imagine it any other way! I’ve had everything from Rhodesian Ridgebacks to miniature Dachshunds — who, in my opinion, can be even cheekier than the bigger breeds. I have also bred and raised both breeds myself. Over the years I’ve also looked after chickens, quails, and even a hamster, so I’m very used to animals of all shapes and sizes. On top of that, I’ve spent the past ten years helping families with dog and cat sitting, often alongside house sitting, so I know how important it is to be reliable and trustworthy. Training and good manners have always been a big focus for me — growing up with three siblings meant my dogs needed to have great temperaments in a busy, lively home. I love taking dogs out for long walks in parks or pretty green spaces, and I’ll happily go for a run with them if they’ve got energy to burn. I really enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they’re happy and well cared for.
Reviews
Cecily was great, very responsive and asked lots of important questions both before collection and during the day. It was a short notice booking but we could tell our spaniel was in safe hands!

Cecily was a fantastic dog sitter, our 10 year old Labrador loved her. She left our house super tidy and Jago seemed very happy when we got back. Thank you Cecily!

Cecily was wonderful with Coby. He connected with her straight away. She is such a lovely person and so lovely for us to work with too. She was very attentive to Coby and kept us up to date. He had a great time with her running around the common in the sunshine! Thank you, Cecily!

Cecily is wonderful! We’re so lucky to have found such a kind and caring dog sitter. Highly recommend!
