I grew up having dogs! My family had the sweetest golden retriever growing up. She loved going for walks and loved meeting new people. We took care of her through an injury and arthritis which made walking challenging. My family got another dog who is a giant mix rescue with a very different temperament. She is terrified of new people and hates the mailman but I have worked with her to interact with others and work through some of her fears. I have also spent a lot of time with friends and family dogs and have dog sat a few times, too.
