Availability
I am available from 10am—9:00pm and can accommodate dogs up to 50lbs, sometimes more, on walks. I am happy to let bigger dogs out into a fenced backyard. (I’m 5’1” so they tend to be strong enough to pull me off my feet above 45lbs if they pull hard but some bigger dogs don’t pull.)

Safety, trust & environment
I follow the notes I take during our meet & greet, or notes that owners provide for me. I am very careful not to let pets escape out the door. I have a calm personality and that usually helps comfort anxious pets. I read body language to know when a pet is uncomfortable or wants space, or wants playtime or affection.

Information Carlee H. would like to know about your pet
At meet & greets, I like to know details of each pet’s routine; when they wake up, when they go out to potty, if they get long walks or short walks, if anything on their walk makes them nervous so I can avoid it, how many poops per day is normal, when and how much they eat, if they take medications, what their favorite toys are, what spots they like or do not like to be petted. I like to know what their relationship is with the other pets in the house if applicable, and if certain people (children, men/women, etc) make them uncomfortable or reactive.
A typical day
I try to follow each pet’s routine to reduce transition stress. We enjoy playing chase, fetch, tug, and giving lots of ear scratches and belly rubs if requested by the pet. On walks, I avoid other pets just to be safe, and in the summer heat I walk dogs in shaded, grassy areas as much as possible.

Pet care experience
*Please note: I require a meet & greet for new clients :) Hi! I’ve been a petsitter with Rover since Fall 2017, and a lover of animals since babyhood. I’m currently in school to become a dog trainer. I sometimes enlist the help of my husband, who also loves animals. We have no pets of our own or any children yet and can board small to medium dogs (and cats!) in our 1200sqft house in a quiet neighborhood. I grew up with a Havanese and trained her, which was when my love of animal behavior began. I’m comfortable giving dogs medication, brushing them, accommodating any feeding quirks, and of course giving them lots of affection and attention. Well, that’s the most fun part obviously! I would love to meet and hang out with your pup, send you pictures of them having fun or chilling, and make your life easier!

Reviews

I know Carlee and Justin spoiled Spanky like I do. Carlee sent alot of updates and pictures. We will definitely contact Carlee the next time we need a sitter.

First time using Carlee. It was a greet and meet and overnight stay. Spanky felt like he was home. I got plenty of updates and pictures. We already have booked another stay with Carlee.

Carlee is conscientious and dependable. Would highly recommend.

Thank you as always to Carlee and Justin for taking such good care of my pups. They absolutely love staying with you both (they told me so - LOL). It's been a few months since they've stayed, however, as soon as I took the overnight bag out, they were running around like the crazy "Frenchies" they are and couldn't wait to get into the car! That says a lot, for me. I really appreciate your attentiveness, daily reports and photos, kindness and flexibility. You are amazing! :-)
