My experiences in the military, working as a nurse, training and competing as an athlete, parenting, life experiences, time spent working with animals, combined with my values are what makes me different. I’ve had pets of every kind for over 30 years. I’ve completed several training courses for dogs. I live with my daughter and our Dane, Roxie. Dogs get lots of exercise and love at my house! My daughter loves entertaining our guests by playing ball, tug or giving belly rubs so they are more comfortable here. In addition to time in the fenced yard, I take them for walks or runs at least twice each day. I follow all instructions I’m given. We only use positive reinforcement and patience for training. I have experience administering meds. I send lots of updates so owners know how their pet is doing. I have experience with all breeds and temperaments. I can trim nails and bathe most pets.

We have two dobies and our youngest is by far the most troublemaker dog we’ve ever had. She swallowed socks right as we were leaving for vacation. Brenda was flexible with our drop off time, kept an eye on our girl, kept us updated, and followed our revised feeding schedule. She really does great! Thank you again!

Schedule
When we watch dogs I’m in the house the majority of the time. When multiple dogs are with us, they aren’t left unsupervised at all. We feed morning and evening and will do noon feeding for puppies. We offer treats and dogs are welcome on the couch or various dog beds.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and a safe neighborhood for walks. The dogs have plenty of room inside to play as well. I’m a runner so active dogs get plenty of exercise. I double check leashes and harnesses before walks. I keep food off the counter so no one gets into anything that could make them sick. My pets are UTD on all vaccines and take a monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventative.

A typical day
We have lots of dog toys and treats to keep dogs entertained. I’m m an avid distance runner so I love exercising with them. They get supervised time outside often for potty breaks and exercise. I don’t have dog crates so if a dog needs to be in a crate at night please send that with them.
