retired ,safe double fence yard
January 2023 lost my dog to cancer. I miss him but want to love other people’s dogs. Have had dogs 45 years. I love dog small and large. Have cared for 6 different litters of puppies. Had to tube feed some and gave quality care, all turned out very healthy. I am retired nurse. Home a lot.. I have large grass yard and large shaded patio. I large dog door. My house is set up with 2 gates which is safer so dogs cannot run out front door. Front door leads to gated area. I like going for walks and to parks or on hikes at mountain parks. I can watch 2 dogs from same household or other family member. I have lost my dog to cancer. He was a great dog. I love being with dogs and want to continue watching other peoples dog. And give my love to them. Dogs allowed on furniture and bed. Would give them loving care as I would my own. I have lots of dog toys.I throw ball or frisbee in my yard. If you have a senior dog I do not want to watch a dog older than 12 years old unless in real good health. it just seems too risky to me. For a senior dog I would like them to be in good shape ,healthy.I can go for walks mostly every day.Cannot watch a dog with aggression. No pit bull or pit mixes.

Bonita was a loving and affectionate sitter for our “baby”. She is nearly 10 years old and has never stayed with anyone outside our immediate family. We were like nervous parents leaving a newborn at daycare. Bonita sent daily updates and photos. We felt very at ease knowing Maci was well taken care of.
Bonita did a fabulous job with Lexi! Took her for walks every morning & spent time playing with her each day. Even went so far as to work on some of her social skills, which were much improved when I picked her up! I would highly recommend Bonita!
Bonita has gone above and beyond for our Honey again. She took her for early morning walks during the summer and cuddled/calmed our dog from the loud fireworks. Her large grassy yard and doggy door allowed Honey to do her zoomies and play with all the dog toys that Bonita has on hand. We've booked her twice and would book her again.
Bonita was amazing! She kept me updated daily with multiple pictures and how she was doing throughout the day. Would definitely recommend Bonita to anyone needing a sitter.

Schedule
I don’t work so I’m home a lot. I usually get up and go for a walk in the neighborhood. Or go to the mountain area and hike with the dogs. I like to throw ball frisbee in my large yard. Or sometimes I’ve just play in the house if it’s hot, throwing the toys down the hallway. When I’m sitting and watching TV, I like to pet the dogs and cuddle with them. Sometimes they sleep in my bed next to me or sometimes they have their own kennel. Our bed to sleep in. I’m usually not gone long like 2 to 4 hours.

I do carry Pet sitting liability insurance of my own. Rover also has insurance.I have a large dog door and I go out with the dogs if they don’t know how to use it . I keep the dog door closed for small dogs, for medium or larger. I just leave it open. It’s always closed at night.I take them outside frequently when home. if I have to go away for an extended period in the day up to five hours. They should be able to be OK in the house or be use to crate. I do crate them if it’s OK with the owner I have a large dog crate .If they are good dogs I can just leave them in the house. After I am with them a few days I usually know if they will be ok outside kennel. The goal is the safety of your pet and I want thrm to be happy so a lot of times it depends on the dog and what the owner wants. We can go for walk or to dog park or hike at mountain preserve on walks I stay away from other dogs. If They can sleep on the bed with me or in their own bed.I am not gone long usually.The gates to my yard all have locks on them. The front door goes to a gated side yard. So if the dog got out the front door, he would still be safe.Small dogs I am always with them when they are in back yard. I do not watch aggressive breeds. Will not watch pit bulls , or pit mixes. I can do a mellow large dog. It would be determined on meet and greet.Would like you to be honest about the dog’s disposition and any problems it has. I can watch two dogs in a household or if it’s agreeable, I can watch one dog from one household and one dog from another household if they both agree to it and the dogs get along well with other dogs. But usually I watch one dog at a time.
A typical day
I LIKE TO WALK AROUND NEIBORHOOD EARLY GO THRU MOUNTAIN AREA TO PARK. WE CAN GO TO DOG PARK IF THATS WHAT YOU LIKE. ALSO LIKE TO GO TO NORTH MOUNTAIN PARK. I HAVE A LOT Of TOYS BALLS FRISBEE STUFFED ANIMALS. IF THEY LIKE WATER PLAY I CAN ENTERTAIN THEM WITH THE HOSE.WHEN WATCHING TV I LIKE TO PET CUDDLE WITH YOUR DOG UNLESS HE LIKES TO SIT ALONE. WE DO BALL PLAY IN HOUSE SOME. I HAVE TREATS UNLESS YOU WANT TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN. WE CAN SIT IN THE BACKYARD AND ENJOY NICE WEATHER WHEN IT IS GOOD WEATHER.
