I’m currently home from university for the Easter holidays, enjoying the return to the countryside while I work on my dissertation. As I’m studying from home, my schedule is very flexible! I will usually be available Monday to Friday through to April 10th, when I return to university. While I’ll be heading back to uni briefly to wrap up this year of study, I’m eager to return to pet sitting as my primary part-time work once I return in mid-May. If you’re looking for someone reliable for the Easter break or for dog sitting when I return from university, I’d love to hear from you!

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a large, fully fenced garden with secure side gates (no gaps at the bottom and code lock installed), so you can rest assured there’s no way for an adventurous pup to slip out to the front. I live with my parents, brother, and our friendly Cockapoo, Gryff, who is always eager to make new friends and loves a good runaround in the garden. In our home, we don't use (or own) crates; Gryff usually sleeps comfortably in the kitchen/dining room. We stick to a consistent routine with meals served at breakfast and 5 pm, but I am more than happy to adjust to your dog’s specific feeding schedule. Please let me know your preferences regarding: Feeding times Sleeping arrangements Any 'home alone' quirks or anxieties they might have

Information Benjamin S. would like to know about your pet

To ensure your dog has the best possible stay with Gryff and me, please let me know a bit more about their personality and needs. Specifically, I’d love to know: Social Preferences: How do they get along with other dogs? Since Gryff (my Cockapoo) will be their host, it’s important they are comfortable with a friendly companion. Recall & Leads: How are they on a lead? Do they have a reliable recall, or should they stay on a long-line lead during our countryside walks? Routine & Quirks: Do they have specific feeding times, or any "scary" things I should know about (like being scared by loud noises)? Home Alone: Are they comfortable being left for short periods? If so, how long are you comfortable with them being left for? Health & Safety: Are they up to date with vaccinations and flea/worming treatments? Also, please mention any allergies or medication requirements.

A typical day

Life at my house is a relaxed mix of garden play during study breaks, countryside walks, and plenty of company. Since I’m currently working on my dissertation at home, your dog won't be ignored; they’ll be right by my side (usually napping while I type).

Pet care experience

I’ve been the proud owner of my pup, Gryff, since 2018. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide variety of breeds and sizes for friends and family (you can see some of my favourites in Gryff’s profile). I’m a firm believer in including dogs in my daily adventures. I love taking Gryff on long walks and runs, but I also enjoy bringing him along to dog-friendly pubs and cafes (basically anywhere they’ll allow a four-legged friend). While I don’t have formal certifications, life with Gryff has given me a broad education. He’s taught me how to handle every canine mood: from his bouncy days where he seems to have springs in his legs, to his quiet afternoons cosying on the sofa, and even those moments when he just needs a little extra love and attention. I’m patient, adaptable, and ready to give your dog the care they need.

Dylan had a brilliant day with Benjamin and Gryff! He enjoyed a lovely walk, play in the garden and chill time. We had photos and updates throughout the day and communication was great. Dylan came home tired and happy. Would happily book again - thanks!

Benjamin was fantastic with Cooper! He kept in touch throughout and clearly cared for him like he was his own. Cooper stayed at Benjamin’s house, which was perfect for him, especially the lovely garden that he absolutely loved. Benjamin took him on plenty of long walks with his own dog, and they got on so well together. It’s obvious that Benjamin is really responsible and genuinely loves dogs. I felt completely at ease knowing Cooper was in such good hands, and I’ll definitely be leaving him with Benjamin again!

My mini schnauzer Molly loves Ben… And so do we! Ben is caring, reliable and very capable, as well as being a very lovely human. He will always turn up on time and go over and above to make sure the dogs are well cared for. Highly recommend 🌟

Ben is a responsible and caring person, who will take care of your dog as if he/she were his own. He loves to play games with the dogs, walk them and cuddle them.
