Hello! My name is Autumn!
I was a Kennel Technician at a general practice animal hospital for 3 years and have been working at an emergency animal hospital since September 2024. I have experience in taking care of dogs, cats, and even exotics. I have 2 cats, a turtle and a family dog, and I have had birds and reptiles, so I love all kinds of animals. I have taken care of puppies/kittens, senior animals, and all in between. I am trained in administering prescribed medications, including insulin. I go to GVSU and would love to help take care of animals in my free time!

In the past, I have dog-sat very anxious animals. I like to give them their space at first, letting them get comfortable with me being in their home. I understand it is very difficult for them to have a stranger coming into their territory, so I like to announce myself when I come in and use words and cues they would know. I also find it important that I make myself seem as least threatening as possible and let them get comfortable at their own pace.

Autumn has been absolutely amazing! She walks my dog 5 days a week and I can always count on her to be reliable and update me! Definitely recommend!!

I am currently a student at GVSU and live in the area. I work part-time at an emergency animal hospital, but I would love to help take care of the animals in my community in my free time.
