Hi! My name is April, and my husband and I will love on your fur babies as much you would if you were there. We love to walk in all types of weather, snuggle animals, and play games like tug-of-war and fetch to keep dogs happy and exercised. About us: My husband works as a data intelligence strategist at a local nonprofit, and I am a PhD student in the School of Social Welfare at KU. We have a daughter who is an animal-loving toddler, but have no pets of our own.

I do not have enough words to tell about the wonderfulness of April & Kit!!!! I don't think anyone could make me believe that a better sitter exists!! I have always worried when we had to leave our girls(Marshmellow & Pollyanna) with anyone, but I can honestly say that I have NO worries when they are under the care of April & Kit!!! They are so very well taken care of! They have sooooo much fun!!!! They love going to the sitter, & we know that our sitter loves our girls!!! It's a wonderful match made in doggie-heaven!! 🥰🥰 They send pictures, videos, & communication is 100% of the time! We love these guys, they are life-savers!!! Thank you all so very much for being the girls´ absolute home-away-from-home!!!! 😍💗😍💗
Picked our 2 brat-pups up from another fun-loving, relaxing stay with April & Kit. Marshmellow & Pollyanna love going over staying at their home-away-from home! April & Kit are phenomenal! Our girls are always very well cared for & they have a ball! They're already looking forward to the next visit! 😂😍🎉 Thanks guyz!!!
April and her family were great to work with. This was Baxter's first time at their house so April suggested a meet ahead of time to make sure it was a good fit for all of us. That definitely put me at ease. During his stay April sent pictures and updates on how he was doing. I felt very comfortable leaving Baxter and will certainly use her again. She took time to understand his schedule and personality and communication was great! Thanks to April and her family for taking such good care of Baxter!

Emi spent three days and nights with April and family this past weekend. April was wonderful!! She sent tons of pictures of Emi having fun. It helped me feel so comfortable knowing that Em was safe and well cared for. I highly recommend April and will definitely book future visits.
April is the sweetest person ever. Her and her family took such good care of my pup, it really gave me peace of mind to know that’s who was watching her. She was very thorough about what kind of care was necessary for my dog and kept me updated the whole stay. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Zeitplan
My husband works from home, and our schedules are very flexible, so accommodating animals’ needs should never be an issue. We can take drop offs as early as 7 a.m. and pick ups as late as 10 p.m.

We have a large fenced yard. Our house is also fairly large at around 3300 square feet, so there is plenty of room to roam. We’re on board with animals on the furniture but are also willing to maintain any rules you have in your own home. We are more than happy to board any caged animals you may have at no additional cost. ***Certified in cat and dog first aid/CPR through the American Red Cross***

Ein typischer Tag
I don’t think there really is a typical day, as every dog has such different personalities, preferences, and abilities. As much as possible, we like to go for walks around the neighborhood and be outside, but we know some dogs- especially senior dogs- may prefer quiet snuggles. <3 For those physically able, we tend to go on 25-minute walks two to four times a day, weather permitting.
