Adventurer on the North Shore
Howdy, and welcome to my home in Silver Bay, MN! I have over 19 years of experience working with a wide variety of animals. Between the time I spent in Mexico as a volunteer for Las Animas Dog Rescue Association, and my collective experiences as a caretaker for horses, dogs, cats, reptiles, and other critters, I feel ready to provide your family pets with high quality care! I welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes to join me as I explore this lovely land that I grew up in. I am a hiker, and invite all active pets to join me as we discover the various parks and trails along the North Shore and the surrounding area. I promise daily walks, active play, and plenty of snuggles. I offer house check-ins and walks, and am happy to keep your pets company in their home. I am very excited to return to this work now that I work from home and have the flexibility needed to properly provide pet care.

Annika was very professional and a good communicator. Won’t hesitate to use her in the future!
Our pup Finn stayed with Annika for a few days while we had some ski time up in Lutsen. Because of the travel situation (we were coming from the twin cities) Finn didn't get to meet Finn before hand but it still went beautifully. Annika was super available to communicate prior and when we met her she was calm and so good with greeting Finn. He felt right at home. She walked him tons and made sure he wasn't alone for two long. We loved getting the frequent updates on how he was doing. We appreciated that she only took on Finn and that she let him sleep in her room. She was flexible with our drop off and pick up time, even with the holiday timing (Christmas day). He was the same old Finn when we picked him up. We will definitely choose Annika to watch over our pup next time we have up north adventures.
Annika and Matt are AWESOME! Great pics and updates and Simba was a super happy boy! Thrilled that I founds such beloved caretakers, so I can travel worry free.
Annika was very sweet on our first meeting.. She asked all the right questions on care and expectations for our pups while we were on vacation.. I got daily pictures, she took our dogs to their favorite park and sent more photos.. Very nice to work with!
I would recommend Annika and Matt anytime!!! My dog Maverick was well taken care of!!!! Will definitely use them over and over.
Annika and Matt were awesome in taking care of my 18 year old cat while I was out of town with their daily drop in visits. I felt very much at ease while away knowing she was being looked after with love and care. I would highly recommend them as a pet sitters.

We wake up, have breakfast and hit the trails for the morning/day. Then we come home to rest and recuperate for lunch before heading to one of the dog parks along the shore. Afterwards, we enjoy a night in and have dinner. Then we watch a movie with indoor play before bed.
