Details like their usual feeding schedule, favorite foods or treats, and any dietary restrictions make mealtime smooth and stress-free. Knowing their potty routine and any quirks around bathroom habits helps keep everything on track.It’s also important to understand their personality, such as how they get along with other pets/animals (on a leash and off leash), their comfort level with new people / strangers, and any fears or anxieties they might have generally. If your pet has any medical needs, medications, or special care instructions, please share those too. The more I know, the better I can tailor my care to keep your furry friend happy, healthy, and comfortable while you’re away!

For pets that need a bit more burn-off, I’m happy to tailor high-energy games or extended exercise sessions. For more laid-back pets, I focus on interactive play with toys that spark their curiosity as well as cozy cuddle sessions for downtime. Ultimately, my goal is to keep every pet happy, engaged, and feeling loved while they’re in my care.

Hi there! With more than 20 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, I bring genuine love and understanding to every pet I look after. After returning to the U.S. from Cape Town, South Africa—where I worked as a pediatric HIV specialist—I’m eager to provide the same devoted care to your furry family members as I would my own. Your dog will have plenty of chances to take regular potty breaks throughout the day to stretch, burn off energy, and enjoy fresh air. I know every dog has their own personality and needs, so I customize my care to fit each one perfectly. My home in Franklin offers plenty of space for supervised play and exploration, with easy access to both front and back lawn areas, plus nearby greenways that are perfect for walks and adventures. Dogs here are treated like family and welcome on the furniture (and even on the bed) if that’s their usual spot. I’m comfortable caring for all breeds, as well as cats, and have lots of experience with senior pets, energetic dogs, and those needing special medical attention. I’m excited to meet you and your companion soon!

Saying the Anne was exceptional doesn’t do our experience justice. we were out of the country for seven days she was so communicative and genuinely caring for extremely elderly dog…. I became weepy a couple of times with our communication because of the relief I felt knowing that Belle was safe. We also had an unexpected disaster with our chicken coop, which has an automatic door opener, which she took care of on top of Belle. She is so funny and relaxed, but incredibly attentive and detail oriented. I can’t recommend her enough. She has a tremendous amount of experience which comes through in her standard of care and I would recommend her to everyone. Thank you so much, Anne!!
Anne was an absolute godsend! She loved on my senior dog like he was her own. I knew he was in good hands every step of the way and I will definitely be reaching out to her again! She also left my apartment better than I had left it. She’s amazing!
Anne has been watching our dog Brandy overnight and does a fantastic job every time. Brandy absolutely loves staying with her and is always happy and well cared for. Anne’s home is clean, welcoming, and a great environment for pets. One of our favorite things is that she has a beautiful 2.5-mile walking trail right next to her house, so Brandy gets plenty of exercise and outdoor time. We always feel completely at ease leaving Brandy with Anne and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!
