I've grown up with cats and dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of breeds, including Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Cockapoos, Poodles, Cocker Spaniels, and both mixed-breed and pedigree cats. My own dog, Freddie, has been with me since he was just six weeks old. I personally trained him using positive reinforcement to follow commands and perform tricks such as sit, paw, and speak. He is a friendly, well-socialised dog who gets along well with both other dogs and cats. I also cared for and trained my rescue dog, Marley, a Golden Retriever–Labrador mix. When we adopted him, he was severely overweight and lacked confidence around other dogs. Through consistent training, regular exercise, and plenty of patience, I helped him lose weight, build confidence, and become much more comfortable socialising. As Marley grew older, he developed arthritis and underwent several surgeries to remove cancer. During this time, I was responsible for administering his daily medication and carrying out physical therapy exercises to help manage his pain, support his recovery, and maintain his mobility. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have regularly provided dog and cat sitting for family members, looking after animals of all ages, breeds, personalities, and care requirements. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I always strive to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I genuinely love animals and take pride in providing reliable, compassionate care. Whether it's going for long walks, sticking to feeding and medication schedules, playing, or simply offering companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own.
