Hi there! My name is Angelina and I am a lover of animals and nature. I have loved and cared for a variety of pets for my entire life and have 3 years of professional animal husbandry experience. I previously worked at the Bronx Zoo and had the amazing opportunity to work with a variety of exotic animals, and I currently work at the Greenburgh Nature Center where I help care for our animal collection (goats, chickens, lizards, birds, rabbits, snakes, turtles, chinchillas, guinea pigs & ferrets to name a few!) I grew up always having an animal companion and appreciate the impact our furry (or scaly, or feathered…) family members have on our life. They are our friends, our healers, our everything! I treat all animals I encounter with respect and try to understand their wants and needs. I currently care for two dogs and three cats of my own; two of which are senior animals who require extra patience and care. I am comfortable working with animals with a variety of needs (I have a soft spot for seniors). I have experience administering medicine to pets who need and I am always willing to learn the best practices that will make your pet happy, healthy and comfortable. I once read a quote that went along the lines of:“Animals do speak, but only to those who know how to listen,” and I certainly believe I know how to listen.
