I will treat your dog as if it’s my own!
I have personal experience in dealing with puppies, elderly dogs and dogs of different temperaments. Animals have always played an important role in my life. As a child I grew up in St Helen’s Woods where we had a small holding of chickens, ducks, goats and even a Shetland pony. We had a wonderful family dog called Paddy who was an Irish Setter and who lived to a ripe old age of 16. Later on my parents rescued a little Yorkshire Terrier called Millie, who’s favourite place was always sitting on someone’s lap. When my own children were old enough, my partner and I introduced a Parson’s Terrier puppy into the family, called Poppy. She had a huge character (and attitude at times) and I’m sure she thought she was the size of a Great Dane! Sadly, at Christmas, our current family dog, Rolo, died of cancer. He was a rescue dog and a Staffie and a Collie cross and was 15. There is now a huge dog shaped hole in our lives! I wouldn’t want one of my beloved dogs to go to a kennel - I would want them to stay in a loving family home where they would be treated as part of that family, where they would be safe, happy and cherished. Before coming to stay I would highly recommend having an introductory meeting with me so that I can get to know your dog’s individual needs, their likes and their dislikes, which will encourage them to settle in quicker but also importantly, reassure you.

Andrea has been looking after our dog for almost 6 years now and we’re lucky to have found her. We always pick up a happy and calm dog.
We were very pleased with Andrea , Hudson was welcome in the home ,he had a great time and we had lovely pics of him during his stay, and plenty of cuddles
We met Andrea for a meet and greet in the local park to see if she was up to the challenge of looking after our strong and stubborn English bull terrier Betty. I’m pleased to say Betty has since stayed with Andrea for a day and we will book her in for an overnight stay soon in preparation before we go away on holiday in October. Andrea is great and really friendly and kept us updated with photos throughout the day and can’t recommend her enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am never worried when my two Bostons are with Andrea. They always have a great stay.

Andrea was fantastic. We felt reassured from the start that Ernie would be absolutely fine in her care - and he certainly was! It was great to get regular messages to update us of his ‘adventures’ at hers along with photos for us to see. What a very special lady and home - who we know we would certainly rebook with in the future. Ernie is already ‘wagging’ at the thought of seeing her again!

Schedule
I get great satisfaction in looking after the animals in my care and making a positive difference to their lives because they make such a positive difference to mine. I am working part time and also work in my garden art studio during the week so I will have lots of time to spend socialising with your dog and making sure they are happy.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a spacious home and secure garden and am situated very close to Alexander Park and St Helen’s Woods. I love the outdoors (in any weather) and will make sure your dog gets enough daily exercise and enrichment. We are very much spoilt for choice here on where to go for lovely long walks - dog friendly beaches and beautiful countryside are less than 15 minutes drive away. Most importantly, I can offer lots of love and TLC to your dog in a warm family environment. I will follow any specific requirements you give me to reassure your dog and to make them feel comfortable. I will treat your pet as one of my own. I hold a full UK driving licence so am available to pick up and drop off your dog. I am also DBS checked.
A typical day
Each day starts with a toilet break in the garden and then breakfast. Before or after lunch we will go for a walk either locally in St Helen’s Woods or Alexandra Park or take a short drive to the beach. Throughout the day there will be time to play ball and have lots of cuddles on the sofa.
