I'm a middle school English teacher by trade, which means "patience" is my middle name (seriously!). I've loved both dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, starting with my beloved dachshund Sugar when I was eleven-- back in the Jurassic era. I'm mature, responsible, and kind, and I will do more than just feed/walk your pet-- I'll give them all the schnoozles. :) Dogs I have had in my life range from the very wee (chihuahua) to the not-so wee (German Shepherd). I am comfortable walking dogs on leash. I learned the proper way to do so via the excellent book "No Bad Dogs: the Woodhouse Way" by Barbara Woodhouse. My availability is somewhat limited by necessity during the week, but I have much more flexibility on the weekends. During the week, I am available from 4 p.m. onwards.
