The Cat Lady of Rijswijk
I work as a freelance visual designer and illustrator. I'm a resident of Rijswijk, Zuid-Holland, where I live with my husband and son. Whenever we go on a walk through the neighbourhood the cats come running over for cuddles! It seems that they have a sixth sense that we are cat lovers 😻 As a South African living in the Netherlands, my first language is English (maar ik kan ook een beetje Nederlands spreken en verstaan). I have four years of experience caring for an adult female cat that I adopted from my brother-in-law in Cape Town. She was a special companion, very playful, and a bit wild! She unfortunately passed away very suddenly from feline leukaemia and I think I will always miss her. Over the past few years I have enjoyed caring for several cats in Rijswijk and The Hague (see furry clients section!) I look forward to meeting and caring for your cat(s)!

This was the second time Amy Jean had taken care of Noortje, and for two and and a half weeks we could travel carefree thanks to her. Amy Jean had lots of experience with cats and always so easy and fast to communicate with. She took a good care of our little cat and we are very grateful. Noortje was a very happy and healthy cat when we arrived!
Amy-Jean responded and communicated quickly to arrange a meet with me and the girls before my holiday. She was so lovely with the girls and sent me updates and photos. Came home to two happy, contented cats!
We couldn’t be more happy with how Amy-Jean took care of out cat Noortje. Communication was absolutely clear, and she handled everything professionally. We were away from our cat for a week, and Amy-Jean visited Noortje twice a day. Feeding, giving her water, playing, taking care of the litter box, updating us with her photo twice a day, even ventilating the house when it was too hot, everything was done immaculately and we were so thankful to her. We fully trusted that Noortje was very well taken care of, and could enjoy our vacation without any worries. Noortje was a very very very happy healthy cat when we came back home, and everything in the house was in order, spotlessly clean!! I recommend Amy-Jean without any hesitation. I wish I could give more stars than just 5!
