Walks, cuddles and one-to-one care
I’ve been around dogs all my life and can’t imagine a home without them. From bouncy puppies to senior companions, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I have experience supporting dogs with more complex needs, including separation anxiety and medical conditions such as IVDD, and I’m comfortable administering medication when needed. Because I work from home full time, your dog will have plenty of company, attention, and calm reassurance throughout the day. I take time to understand each dog’s routine, preferences, and quirks, so they can feel safe, relaxed, and settled while you’re away. I currently offer sits of up to one week, which allows me to give each dog I look after my full attention while keeping a balanced routine. Dogs are very welcome on the sofa here, but I don’t allow dogs to sleep on the bed, so it’s important that your dog is happy sleeping in their own bed at night.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. My home has a secure, fully fenced garden for safe outdoor time, and I only take on one dog at a time to ensure they receive my full attention and care. I’ll follow your dog’s normal routines, feeding times, and house rules as closely as possible to make their stay stress-free. Communication is really important to me, so you can expect regular photo and video updates to show how your dog is getting on. Whether your dog loves long walks, belly rubs, or just a cosy spot to snooze, they’ll be cared for like part of the family.

Amy is one of those people dogs instinctively trust. Schedule
I work from home Monday to Friday, which means your dog will not be left alone for long periods during the week. My days naturally revolve around walk breaks, playtime, and cuddles, so your dog will get plenty of care and companionship alongside my workday. We’ll enjoy daily walks around the beautiful paths and lakes just two minutes from my home, along with plenty of time to relax in the house and garden. Evenings are usually spent winding down on the sofa, and dogs are very welcome to join me there. At night, dogs sleep in their own bed rather than on the bed with me, so it’s important that your dog is comfortable with that setup. At weekends, I like to get out and about locally, often combining walks with a stop at a café or pub. Dogs who can settle calmly in these environments are a great fit. Alternatively, dogs who are happy being left alone for a few hours at a time while I’m out are also well suited to my routine.
