Our dog Mabel loved staying with Amitis! Mabel is fairly high-energy and can be reactive on leash, so she's not the easiest dog to look after, but Amitis took that in her stride. We had the opportunity to meet Amitis a couple of times before the booking, which definitely helped Mabel settle in quickly. She sent us lots of updates, and we could tell our dog was relaxed and happy staying with her. We'll definitely use her again!
Amitis helped me take care of Lula, picked her up and delivered her on time, sent me photos and even worked on her socialization. I would definitely leave Lula in her care again 🐶💕
Amitis watched my dog Dawson for a week while I was away and I was so happy to see how dedicated she was to Dawson’s wellbeing. Dawson is an older dog and a rescue. He’s never been away from me and I was worried he would go through separation anxiety but he was very happy with Amitis. She followed up with me daily to let me know how he was doing and sent me pictures of him. He was very relaxed and content. He didn’t skip any meals due to me being gone. I was so relieved and I would recommend Amitis to anyone who is looking for care for their animals. She is very knowledgeable and has the ability to make the animals and the owners feel at ease.
I had such a wonderful experience using Amitis for my dog’s care! From start to finish, the process was simple and reassuring. She sent regular photo and video updates, which made me feel completely at ease while I was away. My dog was happy, well-fed, and a little spoiled (in the best way possible). It was obvious he got plenty of playtime, walks, and snuggles. I really appreciate her attention to detail, from following feeding instructions to making sure my dog’s favorite blanket came back freshly washed. The whole experience was stress-free, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again.

Amitis was amazing with my dog Keeko! She not only cared for her with love and attention but also used her dog-savvy skills to help Keeko with her leash reactivity. Amitis stayed calm, taught us about smart redirection technique, and even had Keeko walking past other dogs without barking; a huge win for us! My home was spotless when I returned, plants watered, and everything just as I left it. I felt totally at ease knowing Keeko and my home were in such capable hands. Highly recommend!

Caring for dogs has never been just an “activity” in my day, it’s part of who I am. I’ve been a lifelong dog owner, having shared my life with various breeds, sizes, and personalities. As a former founder and operator of a registered not-for-profit dog rescue, my days often revolved around feeding, exercising, training, and rehabilitating dogs with unique needs. Even now, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine, I schedule my work, errands, and commitments around walks, playtime, mental stimulation, and ensuring every dog feels safe, loved, and engaged. Whether it’s early morning strolls, mid-day cuddle breaks, or evening enrichment activities, I treat each dog like my own.

Safety, trust & environment
I believe that trust and safety are the foundation of great pet care. My approach is calm, consistent, and responsive to each dog’s personality and needs. I’m well-versed in canine body language, allowing me to spot stress signals or excitement cues early and respond appropriately. In My Home: Dogs are welcomed into a safe, clean, and dog-friendly environment. I ensure they have fresh water, secure spaces to rest, and supervised playtime. My home has no hazards within reach, and all outdoor time is in secure, enclosed areas or on-leash walks. In a Client’s Home: I respect their routines, rules, and training methods to ensure consistency for the dog. I maintain their feeding schedule, exercise plan, and comfort rituals, and I keep open communication with owners through updates and photos. Having cared for dogs with physical disabilities, anxiety, trauma, and medical conditions, I’m comfortable administering medications, providing gentle handling, and adjusting activities to suit their needs. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, loved, and understood, because when a dog feels secure, they can truly relax and enjoy their time.

A typical day includes outdoor time for walks and fresh air, tailored to your dog’s energy level and comfort. Inside, we will play, work on simple training, or just relax together. There will always plenty of love, attention, and care.
