Hi! I’m Amelia, the face behind HoppyTails Pet Care. I have a deep love for animals and years of hands-on experience with a wide range of pets. I studied Animal Management at Kirkley Hall College for two years, and I’ve volunteered at Kirkley Hall Zoo—gaining experience with animals big and small. I also worked in a kennel and cattery for a year, caring for new arrivals, cleaning, feeding, walking, and providing day-to-day support. Previously i was a nursing assistant, which taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and the importance of compassionate care—skills I carry over into my pet care work. I’ve personally owned and cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small pets throughout my life.

I care for pets in their own home, where they feel safe and secure in familiar surroundings. I don’t offer care in my home as I have two pet rabbits, Smokey and Hazey, whose safety and routine I prioritize. When looking after your pet, I follow their usual routine closely, provide regular updates, and make sure they feel loved and comfortable in your absence. I always treat your home with respect and ensure everything is left clean and tidy.

Amelia has been amazing looking after my cat while I was away twice during the summer. My cat warmed up to her so fast, and my cat tends to be shy and hides away! Appreciate all the updates and pics and vids. Will be booking again! Tysm Amelia!
Highly recommended, Amelia walked my dog Marco while we were on holiday. My mam was watching him, she was so helpful when my dog fell a bit poorly giving my mam the advice she needed to get him back to his old self. Programa
l At the moment, I run my pet-sitting business full-time, offering daily drop-in visits, dog walking, and house-sitting services. My availability is very flexible—especially on Fridays—and I’m happy to work around your schedule wherever possible. While I can’t host pets in my home due to my two lovely (and slightly shy!) rabbits, I’m more than happy to care for your pets in their own comfortable environment. 📅 I kindly ask for at least 3 days’ notice for bookings so we can arrange a meet & greet, but I understand life happens—I’ll always try to accommodate last-minute needs when I can.
