Pet care experience
Animal lover and coffee enjoyer!
In 2001, I started my career at the Longmont Humane Society, where majority of my animal experience took place! Through this opportunity, I was able to work with all types of animals, from reptiles and rodents to dogs and farm animals. Majority of my tasks involved carrying out animal cares and cleaning duties, such as sanitizing kennels, laundry, and doing dishes. I worked with and cared for cats and dogs of all temperaments, mainly behavior dogs and feral cats. I had been in charge of walking up to 20+ dogs 3 times a day and assisted the clinic with cats that were a bit more tricky to handle. It became very easy to adapt to any type of energy level, as there were many animals I took care of over the years of me being at the animal shelter. As of now, I have taken care of many pets of my own and still wish to continue helping and caring for animals, as it’s always something I enjoyed doing!

Amanda is the best. She protects our dogs from other dogs and goes above and beyond.
Amanda has been so good with my little weiner baby from Day 1.She takes Biscuit out for good walks & plays with her inside on cold days. What more can I ask? Amanda is flexible with her schedule and has been great about taking on a few last minute requests. She’s caring and reliable; I trust her with my baby. Biscuit enjoys spending time with Amanda and they are quite a pair now. Thank you Amanda!!

Schedule
I do have an overnight job, but my schedule is always open and flexible to whatever a client may need! I’m always willing to work around my own schedule :D

I always focus on the pet’s own personal schedule and any help or accommodations they have (if any are listed). I will always offer them activities to help with their energy levels and constant care :D
A typical day
I will always provide activities based on the energy level of your pet. If your pet is more energetic and social, more playtime and walks will be provided. If they are more quiet and shy, company will be provided whilst giving them their own space. I will always respect your pets’ boundaries and am more than happy to give extra care and attention throughout the day!
