I’m currently going through an internship with my church and working a full time job but what is great about Rover is that, I can still work with and communicate with individuals and their pets to help pet parents travel, knowing their furry friends are safe and are cared for within the comfort of the pets own surrounding.

I personally, am someone that enjoys my own space and is comfortable in my own area, and I believe animals are similar. By keeping them in their own space and assuring their comfortable with their own surroundings, I feel, it makes them not feel as anxious. I would like to treat the animals exactly as their owners would.

A typical day
I would do anything necessary for their needs and/or the pet parents request. Loving on a pet is my first instinct but then it would be all fun and games from them. Playing outside, going for a walk.

Pet care experience
I grew up on a hobby farm, and have taken care of dogs, cats, cows and many other animals. I love all animals, big or small, young or old. They are all my favorite. (Going to be honest, reptiles are not my forte)

Alyssa is outstanding and I would highly recommend her. I will definitely ask her to watch my Murphy again.
Three stars is just for showing up. While I was apprised of the sitters work schedule it didn't indicate to me that my senior dogs were going to be left for 12 hours in their kennels without potty breaks leading to my 13 yo having diarrhea and being left without a pad in her kennel as we travel home. I was quite disappointed and my poor dogs are the real losers in this situation. While I understand life happens it's not acceptable for helpless animals to be treated in this manner.
It was a pleasure to have Alyssa in our home. Her availability was exactly what we needed for our older dog and her communication with us was great! Our dog was well cared for and our home was clean when we arrived back home. Will definitely book her again for future trips!
Alyssa took great care of our dogs and cats. They are senior dogs and can be a handful sometimes. Alyssa was very responsive and followed our instructions for care. I would definitely recommend her to others.
