Pets I care for get regular feeding or feeding based on dietary needs, along with regular exercise. They always have access to drinking water. I take them out to the bathroom regularly and ensure they either have a safe fenced in area to play or walk them on a leash. I take dogs I care for a walk to maintain exercise. I always ensure to have the number of their vet for any emergencies. I also make sure to give them plenty of love!!

It’s important to know if they have any special needs, dietary restrictions, when you usually feed your dog, your dogs activity level and temperament, and your vets phone number. If the dog is microchipped it’s also important to know this as well for any emergency. If the dog has any favorite toy or activity so we can have the best time ever keeping your dog happy and safe!
A typical day
I love to take your dogs on long walks and explore dog parks or dog beaches in the area. There are some great nature trails too, like the Manasquan Reservoir that’s I like to take my dogs. If there’s a fenced in dog park, I like to throw balls and run around with them.

Hi, I’m Alix, a lifelong animal lover with 20+ years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I’ve had the joy of raising a big, lovable Bouvier, two adorable Yorkies—one had diabetes who needed daily insulin shots—and I’ve shared my home with a playful Frenchie. Now, I live with two Bouviers and a very spoiled Tuxedo cat, so I’m no stranger to dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities! I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust, and I’ll treat your furry family like my own. Whether it’s belly rubs, playtime, or a leisurely stroll, I’m here to make their day the best it can be. It’s a pet’s life, and I’m lucky to be living in it!

We cannot recommend Alixandra enough! Our two cats are incredibly timid and usually hide from everyone — even my boyfriend, who’s been trying to win them over for two years. But somehow, Alixandra worked her magic! Not only did they come out of hiding, but they also hung out with her and even let her pet them. That’s a huge accomplishment and speaks volumes about her calm, patient energy and genuine love for animals. She’s a true cat whisperer, and we’re so grateful to have found her!

We couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter than Alixandra! Our two very timid cats are usually wary of new people, but by the end of the week, they were waiting for her on the front chair, peeking through the window, eager for her to arrive. It was incredible to see how quickly they became comfortable with her. Alixandra is reliable, attentive, and clearly has a way with animals. Knowing our two cats were in such good hands gave us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend!
