Availability
My schedule allows me to be available during the day, so I can offer drop-ins and walks at a variety of times, including mid-day (which can be hard to find!). I’m dependable, routine-focused, and happy to work around your pet’s needs, whether that’s extra playtime, a longer walk, or simply companionship. I’d love to build a long-term relationship with you and your pet so they feel comfortable and cared for every time you book.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are my top priorities. I’ll always follow your instructions closely: routines, feeding, leashing preferences, medications, and anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable and secure. I’m attentive and calm with animals, and I never take risks (doors, leashes, and gates are always double-checked). I’ll also send regular photo updates so you know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I will treat your pet and home as my own and make sure that they are comfortable, safe, and happy. I am your girl if your pet just needs to be fed, needs a little company, a walk, a run, or even someone to watch them for a few days time.
Information Alexandra M. would like to know about your pet
Before I meet your pet, it helps so much if you can share: Daily routine: feeding times, potty schedule, walk schedule Personality + preferences: what they love (toys, treats, cuddles) and what they don’t Training cues / house rules: commands you use, off-limits areas, crate routine Leash habits: puller vs. calm walker, harness/collar preference, escape risk Social behavior: how they do with strangers, kids, other dogs/cats Triggers/fears: noises, bikes, men, storms, separation anxiety, etc. Medical needs: medications, injuries, allergies, mobility issues Home details: where supplies are, alarm/lock info, any special instructions The more I know up front, the smoother and less stressful it is for your pet 😊
A typical day
A typical day with me is a mix of routine and fun, based on what your pet needs. For dogs: I tailor walks to their energy level, anything from a calm sniff-walk to a longer neighborhood walk. I stay close to your home and stick to familiar routes so your pup feels comfortable and safe. If they’re older or recovering, I’m happy to keep things gentle with short walks, potty breaks, and extra love. For cats: I don’t just stop in and leave. I’ll spend time playing (laser pointer/wand toys), giving pets if they want them, and keeping things calm and consistent. I also keep an eye on eating and litter box habits. My goal is always to keep your pet feeling happy, safe, and on their normal routine.

Physical Therapist Who Loves Pets
Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Alex, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a lifelong animal person. I grew up around dogs, cats, and horses, so having animals in my life has always felt normal (and honestly, it’s my favorite). I’m super active (runner and hiker), so I love getting outside with dogs and matching the walk to their vibe whether they want a slow sniffy stroll or something longer with more movement. I’m comfortable with all sizes and personalities, and I’m happy to stick to any training cues or routines you’re working on at home. I’m big on safety, consistency, and communication. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely and send plenty of updates/photos so you feel totally at ease while you’re away. Also, my cat Donatello just turned 10 and has basically been my little travel sidekick through school and work so I really get how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone new. I’d love to meet you and your furry family!

Reviews

Alex is super friendly, communicated well, and took my pup for a run - which judging from the pictures, looks like he loved. Hired again the following week.

Alexandra might be Finns new best friend. He has soooo much fun on his walks with her and she wears him out which I am so grateful for! Cannot recommend enough!

Reliable caring attention for our pet while we were away. Your pet wanted to go home with Alexandra!
Alexandra always did an amazing job taking care of my cat Go Go Boots when I had to go out of town. As a long time pet owner herself she is diligent and trustworthy and always good for selfie updates of your fur baby if you need them. Would definitely recommend!!!
