“I just have to say James and his wife De are AMAZING! We just moved in to town and we’re looking for a dog sitter due to a long trip that we had planned prior to our move. I am always hesitant leaving my pups with new sitters, but during the meet and greet at James’ house, I was instantly set at ease. He reassured the pups would be well taken care of while we were gone and I have to say he went above and beyond. He sent multiple pictures throughout each day and sent message updates to let me know how they were doing. He even spoiled them with extra treats (asked me first of course) and I know they loved it! If you’re feeling any bit of hesitation leaving your pups with someone new I can’t recommend James enough! Even living about 50 minutes from where they are, I will definitely leave my pups with them again and know they are well taken care of. Thank you so much again James and De!”

About: I don't have any professional experience, but I've grown up in a family that has housed a lot of dogs and cats since I was born. We've had 4 dogs and 7 cats from my early childhood until today, so while I did obviously have the rest of my family to assist with them, I've still had firsthand experience with a lot of different behaviors and habits of these pets and how certain traits or preferences vary between them. I finished college at UGA recently, so I'm currently at home full-time. Pet care would be pretty easy to fit into my weekly schedule. I always try to make sure I feed my cat her treats once a day around the same time, so consistent feeding and cleaning wouldn't be that much harder with additional pets. I am gone some evenings on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but other than that my time is fully open to help your pets stay relaxed, happy, and healthy. My backyard has a fence, but it's currently old and unrepaired, so the gates cannot close properly, so any pets prone to running will be staying inside or on a leash. My house is very small, but my front and backyard are very spacious, ideal for pets that are uncomfortable in small spaces. My cat can be skittish around other animals, so I will need to keep her in a separate space from them, but my family's done that with many of our cats, so it will not be a problem for the client or their pets. My roommate stays inside most of the time, so but he's also very friendly and should not pose any issues for the pets.

As a Ph.D. student, I have a flexible schedule and set my own working hours. Most of my research and academic work can be completed remotely, which allows me to spend a significant amount of time at home. I typically go into the lab for only a few hours each day and live very close to my workplace, so I often come home during lunch as well. This flexibility means your dog won't be left alone for long periods of time. I'll have plenty of opportunities throughout the day to provide companionship, playtime, and attention. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, games of fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply having someone nearby, I'll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I can also provide regular potty breaks, outdoor exercise, and enrichment activities to keep your dog happy and engaged. My goal is to maintain your pet's normal routine as much as possible while giving them the love, attention, and care they deserve. When caring for pets in my home, I do everything I can to help them feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, medications, and any special needs, so they can maintain a sense of familiarity while you're away. Throughout the day, your dog will receive plenty of attention, playtime, enrichment, and affection. My home has a securely fenced yard where dogs can safely explore, play, and enjoy frequent potty breaks. I also live near a park, making it easy to provide longer walks, fresh air, and extra exercise for dogs who enjoy getting out and exploring. I share my home with two friendly, well-socialized cats who are comfortable around dogs. They are calm, respectful of other animals, and have experience living alongside canine visitors. If your dog enjoys feline company, they'll have friendly companions, and if they prefer their own space, I'm happy to provide separate areas so everyone feels safe and comfortable. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I'll provide regular updates and photos while you're away, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, loved, and receiving the best possible care.
