“Deanne was very welcoming as I plan on using her marvelous boarding again! She really cares and appreciates animals. Thanks so much Deanne for peace of mind while we are away from home!”

“I highly recommend Kaitlyn!! I have 2 big boys 1 is a Doberman and the other is a golden mix. They fight if their in the same room. So was going to have Kaitlyn watch just one of them. When I went to do a meet and greet with my golden. We got to talking and she said she would be willing to take both. She was amazing! I didnt have to worry all weekend long about them because she would send me updates with happy pictures every day. They always looked so happy with all the walks and belly rubs. Highly recommend! I will definitely be going back to her and dropping my other doggie daycare even with a 15 minute extra drive.”

“This was our second time using June and we couldn't be happier! She takes such wonderful care of our dog—she’s thorough, thoughtful, and always keeps us updated with great photos and messages. It’s clear she loves him and treats him like her own. ❤️ Our dog absolutely adores his hour-long walks with June (which she asked about ahead of time). He always comes home happy and tired! He also loves having Cookie to play with, which is such a fun bonus! We truly wouldn’t trust our pup with anyone else. June is amazing!!”

“Meredith was so great at keeping me informed and sending pictures of my pup while we were away on our trip. She seems to really know a lot about dogs and I love the fact that she has veterinary tech experience and dog training certification! My pup was very happy there and I will certainly use Meredith again!”

“The dogs had a great time during their first stay here! Sumer and her family were able to take them some what short notice as our long time boarder was unexpectedly moving out of town and we really appreciated that. They took great care of the dogs and our dogs had fun playing with their pups. They have a good size backyard and we were happy to get pictures and updates that they were doing well. Thanks again!”

“Sully had his first weekend with Rachel and family this past weekend! Prior to the arrival, she was very responsive and asked all the right questions to make sure Sully was a match for her family. We also did a meet and greet before to make sure it was a good fit. She posted daily updates on her Facebook page that truly showed the smile on our dogs face. They’re fenced in yard with a little blue is perfect for multiple doggies. He had the best weekend. He is still sleeping almost after 24 hours of picking him up. A tired dog is a happy dog. ;) We most definitely we contact Rachel for future overnight needs. She took great care of him and we are truly grateful for that!!”

“Alicia was the best! I knew from our meet and greet that she was going to be great with Tig and of course she was. I had no worries while we were out of town as she sent updates and photos of our Tig often. I can tell he is going to miss his new hangout and all their love & cuddles. I will absolutely book again if I need to in the future.”

“Shalyn & Joseph really set my mind at ease when dropping off my pup. They kept me updated with pictures & detailed messages about how he was doing. Wally seemed like such a happy/ tired boy when he came home & I couldn’t have asked for better people to take care of him!”

“Mary is just the best! She absolutely loves dogs and goes out of her way to make you and your furry baby feel like they are at home! I feel like she’s part of the family and cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Mary!!”

“We couldn’t be more pleased, and we feel relieved and grateful to have found Stella and her family. We love receiving her photos and updates, and the pickup and drop off process is seamless.”

“I was thinking Casper may not want to come home, as it looked like he was having a good time and being spoiled. He was allowed on their sofa and on the bed (things he doesn't get to do at home, at least not while I'm in the room). Great experience and Emily has 2 boys that also gave Casper a lot of attention. I will definitely rebook again as needed.”

“The best sitters on this app! Absolutely professional in the way of doing things and unbelievably lovely with the dog. I’ve left my pup with them twice and she refuses to leave their place when I pick her back up. Super friendly couple and very much involved in their care towards dogs. Thomas and Emily always accommodated my requests and were super helpful in giving my pups medication too. I would 100% recommend them, the best dog sitters ive come across so far!!!”

“Jill and her family welcomed Bailey into their home and treated him as their own. They were attentive to his needs as a senior dog, including giving oral medicine. I could tell he was well brushed and cared for when I picked him up. Her large yard was perfect for him. Jill had clearly gotten attached to him. She was always very responsive whenever I texted. I would book with Jill again.”

“This was my first time leaving my 6 month old puppy. Carla made the whole process very easy and pleasant. We first did a meet and greet. I knew right then and there that the reviews I had been reading were spot on. I loved the idea that my puppy was going to be with other dogs. Perfect for socializing him. I also was appreciative that my pup was in a familiar situation as home. Carla texted me everyday with videos. Which made this whole experience easier for myself. Don’t hesitate on using Carla as she really is that great!!”

“Megan, provided a safe and comfortable environment for our dog. She was awesome about sending photos regularly and communixating on how she is doing. We recommend her highly.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Nicole! She took great care of Diesel and Turbo, kept us updated throughout their stay, and made sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our boys were in good hands. We truly appreciate all the love and attention she gave them and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“I am very pleased with Tanya's care and attention. She provides a CLEAN place and a space where your pet would be comfortable. She's communicative and her price point is very justifiable as she provides top care. She's by far the best! Would highly recommend.”

Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
