About: I have over 20 years experience taking care of other people’s “fur babies”. I love them like they are mine. I am very responsible, dependable, observant and able to handle any unexpected situations that might arise. I am self-employed and work part-time so I have a lot of availability. I have the ability (and desire) to give pets quality time and attention. Every pet is unique and their needs are different. Some pets prefer physical connection while others prefer having a ball thrown for them to chase. Like us, pets each have their own love language. I endeavor to “speak” love in the language each pet prefers.
About: Growing up with animals my entire life, I've branched out to caring for other's animals. From dogs, cats, snakes, and aquariums of all sizes, I am familiar with caring for all kinds of animals including those with special needs. I have worked with blind animals, those with complex medication routines, and those that needed physical therapy. I have also assisted in training animals with behavioral issues and prevented damage to homes while per owners are away. I also volunteer for the local FOAC in my free time. I'm a full time animal lover and would love the opportunity to take care of your furry family! I work full time but have the ability to work from home. I am especially available on weekends, evenings, and holidays. Simply book me and I'll make your schedule work for mine! I have stayed in homes for months at a time caring for animals while owners are on vacation. I am sure to be respectful of your privacy, sticking to specified areas, and focusing on my assigned job of caring for your furry family members. I prefer to leave everything clean and untouched after pet sitting, like I was never there. I am also very quiet with hobbies like crocheting and reading, being respectful of any surrounding neighbors.
“This was my first time using Rover and Kristina made it an absolutely wonderful experience. She was great doing the drop in visits and her communication was fantastic. I really appreciate that she made my dog feel safe and secure while she was there. She was very caring and compassionate with my dog and I won't hesitate to recommend her to others”
About: Austin loves hanging out with and caring for dogs. My Dogs House was created to help small and medium sized dogs have a safe and fun location to stay while their owners are busy or away. Reservations are limited as we only take a small number of well behaved dogs on a daily basis. My Dogs House is open everyday. Although reservations are limited we aim to be available at your convenience! A secondary staff member is available to assist on days that are busy or there are scheduling conflicts for Austin so the dogs are never left unattended. Inside kennels are available if needed or preferred. Yard is completely fenced. Austin provides daily updates, photos, and livestream video upon request to insure clients that their animal is getting the best care and attention.
“Kim did such a great job caring for Mia and Apollo while my husband and I were out for the day! She was a great communicator & the dogs really enjoyed her visits. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was a teenager. I’ve always been reliable and will treat your pup with exceptional care! I’m mainly at home so I’ll have a lot of time to play with your pet! I will give your pets a lot of love, treats, and toys I have a house with a fenced yard with a decent size backyard. I also live by a nice park that I walk my dogs at.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my genuine passion for animals, along with a strong focus on tailored care for each pet’s unique needs. I have hands-on experience with both energetic puppies and senior pets requiring extra patience and support. I'm comfortable with administering medications, following special diets, and sticking to detailed routines to ensure your pet feels safe and happy in your absence. Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily and weekly routine. I structure my schedule to prioritize reliability and consistency, whether it's early morning feedings, midday walks, or evening playtime and check-ins. I'm flexible and committed to working around your pet’s needs, ensuring they get the attention, exercise, and love they deserve every single day. Whether it's a short-term visit or long-term care, I make sure your pet’s routine stays as normal and comforting as possible. Safety, trust, and comfort are always my top priorities when caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs to create a secure, calm environment. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely to ensure their pet feels safe in a familiar setting. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I provide a clean, pet-friendly space that’s fully secured and free of hazards. I supervise interactions, keep a consistent routine, and always provide plenty of love, enrichment, and downtime to help pets feel at ease. I also keep communication open with regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is in great hands.
About: I’ve taken care of puppies, kittens dogs and cats of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors friends and family have relied on me to check in, feed and play with their pets. I am currently working part time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups and or cats. I am available to care for your pet or pets on weekends, weekdays and holidays. About: Hello my name is Shondra and I absolutely love dogs. as a retiree, I'm home most of the time, so your pup will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day-they'll never be left alone for long periods. I've had dogs my entire life and have experience training German Shorthaired Pointers as hunting dogs. Although I no longer hunt, the knowledge, patience, and dedication I gained from training them helps me provide excellent care for every dog I meet. I walk my own dog every day, and if your pup enjoys walks and is able to join us, I'd be happy to include them in our daily adventures. My home is clean, safe, and pet-friendly, giving your furry family member a comfortable place to relax and feel at home. I know how important it is to stay connected while you're away, so i'll send you daily photos and updates so you can see all the fun your pup is having and peace of mind. If you have a puppy, I can also help with crate training and potty training by following a consistent routine and using positive reinforcement, but it has to be with a crate for cleanliness. My promise is simple: I'll care for your dog with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I look forward to welcoming your furry family member into my home. I have saved my dog Kiddy (who has now passed away at 19yrs old) from near death when she was 16yrs old. She had an infected tooth which got into her blood and caused her to almost die. the doctor gave her antibiotics but she wasn't eating or drinking for days. I put in a blender chicken and pedialyte, I then poured it into a feeding syringe and carefully put it in her mouth, I did this for 2 days and she came back to life. She got her tooth pulled as soon as she was better. I wanted to tell my story so you know that I will do whatever it takes to care for your pup. Our fur babies are family❤️❤️🙏 I am retired and home to take care of your pup. I do have one little dog and 2 cats. My pup is on an eating schedule and walking schedule so if your pup is on any schedule I will accommodate. My dogs and cats are cherished members of the family, and I will treat your animals as my extended family. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable home where your pet feels happy and secure while your pet feels happy and secure will you're away. I have a fully fenced yard for outdoor play and live close to a park, where your pup can enjoy daily walks and exercise. I also have a swimming pool that is not fenced; however, your pets safety is my highest priority, and I closely supervise all outdoor time to ensure they stay safe. if your pet requires medication, I am experienced and comfortable administering it according to your instructions. I will also follow your preferred feeding schedule and routine to help your pet feel at home. I specialize in caring for small to medium-size dogs. if your pup enjoys relaxing on the couch, they're welcome to cuddle up with me. I can provide a crate if needed, or you're welcome to bring your own if that's what your pup is accustomed to sleeping in. For the comfort and cleanliness of my home, I do require that all pets be potty trained or crated while learning to be potty trained. I also understand that every pet has unique needs. For example, I currently care for a friends dog who uses a dog litter box, so im happy to accommodate that setup if needed. As a special treat, I make homemade boil chicken treats that many dogs love, of course, I will always follow any dietary restrictions or special instructions you provide. Most importantly, I will care for your pet with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I want every dog or cat in my care to feel safe, loved, and right at home.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cuesta Serena
We were visiting from out of town and staying in a local hotel with my rescue chihuahua. She is a scaredy cat around strangers and has separation anxiety. We booked Jef to come and stay with her in the room while we went to dinner on two nights. He was so chill and so good with her. She never lets strangers touch her and will scream if they try. I was surprised that he put out his hand the first time he met her and she came up and sniffed him. That's not normal for her. He gave her space until she was ready to be friendly. He sent me pictures both nights and she was perfectly calm with him. I would definitely recommend Jef and will book him again if we return to the area.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
