Clients non wanting their dog to be the only one?

Hi Sitters,

I have been sitting for about 8 months. I have great reviews and several repeat clients. The problem is that I have only been able to make about $2k in that whole time. While I am frequently booked I have noticed that every owner that contacts me is only interested in booking with me with the assurance that I don't mix dogs from other families. They always want their dog to be the only one and frequently state that their dog is fearful or aggressive to other dogs. So I end up booking when I'm open but then I am forced to deny additional requests for overlapping time. This really limits the amount of money I can make. I'm very good at this and know dogs well. I need the extra money for bills.

It seems I have two options: 1. Charge these clients a greater fee or 2. Risk losing a bunch of bookings by stating that my poilicy is to take as many dogs as I can safely handle including those from different families. Yes, I have ways of separating dogs in my house. But, this isn't good enough for most people.

Does anyone else have this problem and how do you or did you handle it? Also may be important to note that I think this happens to me a lot because I am listed as not having a dog myself in the search results.

Thanks!
