What to do if owner is using one profile for multiple dogs?

I recently finished a house-stay at a client's home, and she has two small chihuahuas. I charge per dog, per night, but she had her two dogs listed in one pet profile, so she was only charged for one dog. Under the circumstances, everything went smoothly and the dogs were easy to look after, but it doesn't seem right that she is able to only pay for one dog. Does anyone know what can be done in that situation?

It isn't right. Your rates are clearly stated as per dog and you got cheated on payment. Didn't you have a M&G? This could have all been fixed prior to the house stay.

Contact Rover Support and they will have the owner correct the profiles. Rover loses money, just as you've been gypped by someone gaming the system.

P.S. If you had seen both dogs at the M &G, you could have explained to the client that Rover's insurance would only have covered one dog, so it is important that the dog profiles are accurate,

New clients to Rover struggle with or are in a rush setting up their account and therefore either leave out information or as mentioned create a dog profile that is not accurate. We as sitters and walkers must do a meeti and greet and if something is wrong with the profile/booking make sure it is corrected before you accept the booking.

That's not fair. Sorry to hear about that. I dealt with this recently, and since we were messaging each other talking about 2 dogs, I mentioned the rate per dog, and stated I will adjust their cost of the stay accordingly. They understood and agreed to the stay.

I had that happen with my first house sitting stay. It was for a friend who did create a profile, only listing 2 dogs. When I went over for the M&G I saw there were 2 dogs. I told them they had to list both dogs on the profile so that insurance would cover them, so she did put the second dog on there. I did not adjust the price because I wasn't paying attention. The dogs were both sweet, senior, and didn't require much care at all, so I just absorbed the financial loss for that visit. The next visit, however, I did charge for both dogs. Lesson learned.

I've run into this situation too. Finding some owners who think the website cumbersome to list multiple pets, they deal with so many service sites so they take a short cut and list all the pets as one. Then on first contact they're getting a quote for much less. I added a sentence in the first part of my profile "click on the additional rates and services link to see rates for multiple pets and cats." Clients seem to rarely read thru a whole profile so get that out early. This has helped.

Before I set up a m&g, I will ask if they're asking about care for more than one pet. If they say yes , then I message them about the additional cost. If they're gaming it, you won't hear back. Archive and move on.
