Is my time still listed as free or available while a booking is pending?

When a person requests to book a stay for their dog, and I, the pet sitter, click "book it"...but then the potential customer has some questions and then wants a meet and greet..does the time still show as available on my calendar? I had a request last week for this memorial day weekend, and I booked it but the customer didn't confirm, instead wanted a meet and greet that we scheduled for this afternoon. Then they cancelled 15 minutes before it was supposed to happen. I'm wondering if my time was showing has booked or pending for the last week, while this person was deciding. If it was, is there a way I can fix this so that until a person confirms my time is listed as free?

The pending booking blocks your availability for the service requested. If you can take 3 boarding dogs and have 1 pending you have 2 slots available assuming you don't have confirmed bookings or several pending. I would archive the request if you want to show your full availability

Thanks! This is what I'll do next time. Archive! I definitely made a mistake this time. I allowed this pet owner to reserve my time way in advance without paying and then cancel 15 minutes before the meet & greet, which was 20 hours before the dog was supposed to be dropped off. Big mistake.

You booked with the person before scheduling a meet and greet? I get a little skittish when someone hops on the Book It button too fast and I haven't even met their dog yet.
