Can a client request dates if I'm unavailable?

I'm new to Rover and I am booked most of this summer. I'm trying to get my clients to enter in their requests online. Some people are requesting other dates, but I'm unavailable. Am I able to block out dates until everyone gets their requests in? What's the best suggestion during this set up process? The current clients are aware I'm starting to book through Rover and are being patient.

You can mark yourself unavailable by managing your calendar: https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar... Existing clients can still create a booking for unavailable dates though and sometimes new clients also.

Like Walt suggested, I would block out your calendar for the dates you are pending your clients to request. All clients will still be able to message you and request these dates, but your profile won't be dinged by turning down these requests (because you're "unavailable").

I don’t understand, if I don’t block dates for pending requests I will get penalized? How and why? Also, what does “dinged” mean? o:
