Michelle did a fantastic job in caring for Chloe and Gus. They are a “handful” and she handled them with loving care! Michelle sent me texts and pictures throughout the stay to let me know everything was going well and the pups were having fun. The house looked great when we returned and she even left me a sweet Thank You Note. I have Michelle scheduled for two additional stays in the near future. It is so nice to know our babies are well taken care of while we are gone. I can not recommend Michelle more highly?????

This is the 2nd time I have used Eva and I will definitely book her again. This time we had a new dog. My Nova is very skittish and anxious. I have been working with her since January and everything is new to her. I knew she would shut down again if I tried to put her in a kennel situation. Eva came and met her and took the time to make her feel comfortable and safe. She is a great sitter! I received lots of updates and pics! Would highly recommend her!

About: I’m a US Marine veteran who brings reliability, structure, and genuine care to every animal I work with. With 8+ years of hands-on experience caring for pets and farm animals, I understand that every animal has its own personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pet is high-energy and loves long walks or needs a calm and patient approach, I adapt to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I take pride in being dependable, communicative, and attentive to detail. Your pet’s safety and well-being will always come first. I’m experienced with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, and I’m comfortable handling active dogs, maintaining routines, and providing structured care while still giving plenty of affection and attention. When your pet is with me, they won’t just be “watched.” They’ll be exercised, cared for, and treated like family. I know how important trust is when leaving your animals with someone else, and I work hard to give owners peace of mind through consistency, updates, and quality care. If you’re looking for someone disciplined, trustworthy, active, and genuinely passionate about animals, I’d be honored to care for your pets.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and can’t imagine life without them! I’ve had my own dog for 5 years now and there aren’t many days we don’t go on our daily walk. While living abroad, I also helped walk and dog sit for my neighbor whenever she was away. I treat every pup like they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of love, care, and attention. Right now I have a very flexible schedule, which means I can easily fit in walks, drop-ins, or overnight care throughout the week. I love spending time outdoors and with dogs, so I make pet care a regular part of my day. As my schedule changes down the road, I’ll be sure to keep my availability up to date so you always know when I’m open for bookings. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I always follow their usual routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I make sure to respect your space and keep things just the way you like them. Whether it’s feeding, walks, or playtime, I stick to your pet’s normal schedule and give them plenty of attention and care while you’re away.

We were in town for work and really wanted to bring our 16 weeknold Cavapoo with us as we just adopted him. We reached out to Ashley before arriving in San Antonio to ensure she had availability. We read reviews of various sitters and decided on Ashley. Upon I still contact right up to picking up our fur son, we felt comfortable. She was very accommodating and had a wonderful vide from initial contact up to when we picked up our puppy. We definitely will use her again if we are in town again. If she lived by us, we would hire her a a lot!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced dog mom who knows how important it is to find someone you truly trust with your pets. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities, including large and strong breeds, and I believe every pet deserves patience, affection, and care tailored to them. When your pet is with me, they’ll be treated like one of my own. I’m happy to follow their normal routine, whether that means walks and playtime, lots of snuggles, or simply keeping them company while you’re away. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual personality, comfort level, and needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I also know how reassuring updates can be when you’re away from your furry family member, so you can expect plenty of communication, photos, and little updates along the way. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pet is safe, happy, loved, and getting plenty of attention. 🐾❤️ I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. This allows me to easily accommodate your pet’s usual routine, whether they need walks, meals, potty breaks, playtime, or just some extra company and cuddles. 🐾 I care for pets in my home and/or my client’s home by following their usual routines and providing attentive, personalized care. Depending on the service, this may include walks, meals, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, medication, grooming, and plenty of companionship and cuddles. I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, allowing me to accommodate each pet’s needs and routine. 🐾

About: I can't remember a time I didn't have a pet, since childhood. My childhood dog's name was Wallstreet and our cat was Clara. My dog Leia is my first dog as an independent adult. I've had her for 10 years. I started a cleaning business since 2019 and my clientele grew from word of mouth from people I would house sit and pet sit for since 2016. During that time I also cared for a woman with dementia for two years, checking on her twice a day, cleaning, going on outings, and giving meds. I still have my cleaning business and am looking for a new side hustle to supplement my income. I love animals and people and have a lot of free time, so this just made sense! I hope I can help spoil and love on your pets while you can't. I have a completely open and flexible schedule. The only things I do on a regular basis are some zoom calls at 7 pm early in the week and a couple outings/errands a week for an hour or two. In my home, dogs would be walked around the beautiful hills and scenery in my neighborhood. I don't have a fenced in yard. Cats and dogs would have full reign of the apartment. Animals are allowed on furniture. Actually, I am lucky they share the couch with me.

About: As a veterinary technician at an ER clinic, I care for hundreds of dogs and cats each year and have hands-on experience with medication administration, injections, diabetic pets, seizure disorders, special-needs animals, post-operative care, anxious or fearful pets, training staff on protocols, and teaching fellow fosters as well as adopters on animal care and behavior. I am also an accomplished foster who has hosted everything from queen cats nursing kittens to weaned kittens, puppies, dogs, and senior animals. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities and I approach every animal with fear-free handling! Lifelong animal lover and former small business owner, I've spent years working with animals of all kinds through veterinary medicine, 4-H, fostering, and therapeutic horseback riding programs. My flexible schedule allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day, and Blink cameras throughout my home help me monitor pets whenever I'm away briefly. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing plenty of love, enrichment, exercise, and individualized attention. Located near nature trails and a large enclosed outdoor area, I offer a safe, comfortable environment where your furry family members can relax, play, and feel right at home. My schedule is very flexible and I am able to take breaks as needed throughout my work days. I do not work on weekends, so I am always at home to attend to the critters! I am also available holidays. With experience caring for orphaned animals daily, including those requiring medications and specialized care, I prioritize your pet's health, safety, and happiness. My flexible schedule, attentive monitoring, and pet-friendly space with enrichment activities, cozy resting areas, and nearby outdoor access ensure your beloved companion receives compassionate, professional care while you're away. 🐾

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for family and friends for many years and truly love being around animals. I currently have a friendly Goldendoodle puppy who loves other dogs and would enjoy having playmates during their stay. Because I work from home, your pet will receive lots of attention, supervision, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the day. We live on 2 peaceful acres in the country surrounded by farmland, giving dogs plenty of space to safely run, explore, and burn energy. Inside, pets are treated like family — couch cuddles are welcome! My goal is to make your fur baby feel comfortable, active, loved, and at home while you’re away so you can return to a happy, tired pup ready to relax and cuddle with you. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and already spend most of my day caring for my own Goldendoodle puppy. Your pet will have frequent potty breaks, playtime, outdoor exercise, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m available most weekdays and weekends and can be flexible with schedules when needed. We live on 2 peaceful acres in the country, so dogs have lots of space to safely run and play while still enjoying a calm, relaxing environment indoors. Pets are rarely left alone and are treated like part of the family during their stay. I can crate when needed.

Hannah was absolutely wonderful with our dogs and took care of our sugar glider in addition to keeping our house in good shape. We have two high energy 2 year old boys that did great under her supervision. Even our 10 year old mini aussie who is not a fan of most people and dogs was fantastic around Hannah. Highly recommend for the peace of mind knowing your fur babies are well cared for.

FAQs for House Sitting - Caddo

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 460 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Caddo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Caddo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Caddo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Caddo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Caddo. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
